Kittens with Lazers always spoke of kittens shooting off their laser beams. The Fallen Spirits always discussed how their poor spirits had fallen. Hell, even the Outsiders spoke of how they felt rejected by mainstream society!

No, it was never like this - tribe threads always spoke about random bullshit. Whether it was in bulk of the posts were few and far between, this is the way it always was. Those complaining about it now are bitching for the sake of bitching.

Also, if you care to check out the first few pages of the KwL thread, you'll find that most posts are actually about cats shooting lazers. You could have at least bothered to pick a better example.

Like I already said, people can talk about whatever they want. In CB's case though, I've found that the past few months it was more than ever about spamming. And the spamming is exactly what this thread was about to begin with. So whether posts were in bulk or few and far in between actually matters in this discussion.

The difference between massive spam and just some posts every now and then is that people who aren't on the forums for hours a day can still be part of the forum community. They can still talk along without having to be confronted with daily changing inside jokes and whatnot. Spamming in this sense has the effect of excluding/alienating anyone -tribe members included- who for whatever reason is unable to keep up.

Yes... they were never meant to be a welcoming place but were supposed to be. If you think about it long enough it almost makes sense. What is the lifespan of your memory? Can you imagine how welcoming these forums are compared to the way they were, say, a year or two ago?

I can both imagine and remember and based on these memories I'm convinced that as far as the Tribe subforums and threads are concerned, standards have fallen.

So what do you expect the sents to do about it? How is it a problem that they're enjoying themselves?

Though there were times when posting cat pictures was a thing.

Hell, back on the old forum, can't remember if it was the 2nd or 3rd forum (cba to check cfm's archive), but like the first few posts had "mew mew pew pew" and kitten with laser pics and gifs.

If even the EN Chat Thread has rules against spamming, I don't see why tribes can't have a basic rule about no one letter posts etc

People would still break rules.

And they will be punished and they will realise they shouldn't do that. And if they don't realise it, their fault.

I don't understand the clan threads. I know there used to be a few, and they were all Warrior cat RP groups or something.
Then one of them decided to want to get the most posts than any other tribe thread, and it looked like a bunch of people joined it not knowing what the tribe was originally for, and then dozens of other tribe threads for 'somethingClan's came up, and eventually 'something Clan' (name format no longer matching the books)

I don't get it, probably annoying for any of the fans of the books who just wanna roleplay drama cats.

Insults and Spamming are two incredibly different things. Insulting affects you personally while spam doesn't. I personally am more hurt when I get told I'm shitty than when someone keeps posting 6 times in a row.

I agree with this thread completely but I disagree with the targeting of the clans. Blaming the clans for other people making clans is stupid imo and pinning spam on them when other threads, me, lemo, draco providing examples, do it as well. Trying to make my stance clear :p

In the end to me most of the people in this thread, including me, are to blame for this.
