I agree. People should have the right to decide whether they want their ears pierced or not; it shouldn't be something their parents decide for them, no matter how young they are.
I've seen people who use the "they're a baby! they won't remember it (the pain)" excuse, and that sounds extremely stupid. Basically what they're saying is that it's ok to inflict unnecessary pain on someone, without their permission or knowledge, just because "they won't remember it". dafaq
Plus, piercings need to be cleaned often and easily get infected, which leads to even more complications. Would someone really want to do that to their baby, just to make the kid look "cute"? They are cute even without piercings, and I believe it's something THE PERSON WHOSE EARS GET POKED WITH A NEEDLE should decide.

Piercing kids' ears is ok, as long as the kid WANTS them, and is old enough to take care of them and prevent infections.

I disagree. I believe it's fine to pierce a babies ears because when they do get old enough they can just stop wearing earrings and the hole will close back up by itself. Do you think parents get their babies ears pierced and never maintain it's hygiene? lmao ofc they do tf kinda parent would they be. Most parents don't do it to make their kid look "cute" some like own family does it for religious reasons. I dont think you really have a right to judge others just because it's something you wouldn't want upon yourself.

I'm not so sure about piercings, but I'd love to get a few tattoos someday.

Its better to get it young then to feel the pain when your older because you wont remember how it feels and if you get older and decide to not wear earings anymore then ok you dont have to the only thing is when you realize you do want to wear earings or whatever you will have to get it pierced again because it will be closed by then which doesnt take long. Plus it also depends on what type of earrings you wear in the beginning because they can be harmful to you afterwards if you have sensitive ears like mines.

I would like to have tattoo, but i will have this in some month :D
