Meli has stated that while this will be a paid game there will be many hours of free content. So when it is released anyone who wishes can check it out before purchasing it.

Oui, ça l'est. Nous allons libérer toute la première zone avec plusieurs heures de jeu gratuitement, mais vous devrez payer une petite taxe pour déverrouiller l'ensemble du jeu. Nous voulons tester un nouveau modèle économique avec ce jeu, comme Free-to-play ne semble pas faits pour elle.

The different gameplay modes seems very fun, with the gaining experience upon death being an interesting concept for this style game. And I personally love the fact there will be no PvP!
