Hi guys! So currently my tribe is debating between cheeseformice private tribe forums and these ones. What's your view?

These ones seem better now. You can have subsections, publicly accessible sections, polls and also manage permissions based on ingame ranks.

However, on CFM you are able to up and downvote posts, which you cannot here.

Only upvote if I recall and it doesn't bring so much value to the discussion in my opinion. It's mostly a fame contest more than anything.

You can downvote as well. That being said, I did like getting notifications when someone liek shared a picture in the private As seen irl thread lol. Now gotta do it manually :(

In my opinion upvoting posts is a good feature that deters spam, it's likes that make it a popularity contest. Who wants to read 10 posts in a row saying they agree with someone else but adds nothing new to the discussion, when they could just click next to the post itself?

The tribe forums I think is better here because it's more accessible while in general I prefer the CFM forums over this one beacuse of it's design. I guess I'll get used to this one, and I'll definitly be using both.

I also like very much the notification system on CFM. But it's too complicated to add to this forum at the moment.

personally in Crossing Borders if we agree or disagree, we say, not upvote/downvote, I find it pointless x)

Agreed and I also like the notifications on CFM

More CB spam: Crossing Borders moved to A801 by popular vote. Over 75% of votes was for the move. It's a shame we're lacking notifications on here, but favouriting threads + the latest layout change help a lot.

I barely used the CFM forums, so I can't say, but I prefer this one.

As said above, I barely use them either. This one is a better way of seeing views, and lots of comments. I prefer this one, aswell.

I love CFM as a site but the private tribe forums are just bad. It is very neglected and glitchy, considering Sourdough doesn't have the time to maintain it now. ;;____;; I am glad CB has moved over here, the tribe forums here a lot easier to use.

(But in general, I like both forums equally. CFM is my baby and Atelier is very enjoyable. Both have their ups and downs)

I like ateliers forums better. IMO cfm is just glitchy and is in need of a face life. I also dont like getting spammed with so many notifications

CFM is absolutely wonderful yes, but the thread OP's asking whether you like CFM tribe forums or A801's tribe forums, not CFM itself. Personally I used to like CFM's more when we had flash forums, but now that A801 tribe forums improved significantly, they got a lot better than CFM's.
