I guess what made TFM so cool is that it in many ways wasn't meant to be such a success. No one was trying to achieve a hit or even to make money off of it. It felt mostly like two gifted people combining their strengths to make something really cool and that worked out wonderfully. I didn't really enjoy bouboum and I definitely didn't enjoy Forto, but that doesn't mean they won't strike gold with a future attempt. The pressure has got to be a lot higher too; they might feel like they have to top TFM and that's no mean feat for a browser game. I can only hope people stay open to their new projects, willing to try them out. After all, it was the community that rocketed TFM into popularity. Dernière modification le 1405580040000 |

They could really improve their staff team and support, but overall they are a pretty great company. |

Growing bigger they'll have to choose: 1) Get more and more free staff (with all the consequences that everyone knows) 2) Get a full time hired quality staff. (they need moar ingame moderators tbh) |

I feel that they incorrectly use their time and money developing games which will never have more than 1000 concurrent players, they should cut their losses with Bouboum and focus on Transformice,Neko Dancer and the other game which I can't spell that begins with C. I also feel that they are unprofessional when it comes to bugs, a company serious about their game wouldn't let a almost game breaking bug go on for weeks/months. |

Jessive a dit : Eeep, I hope they don't create a membership. I never play membership games because of the unfair advantages that members have. |

Lordfuzzy a dit : I agree with this, instead of unfair advantages, having customizations (fraise) was a brilliant idea since it's a choice if you want to make your mouse look pretty or something. Ads I'm fine with as well, every game and site has them. |

I love Atelier 801, and I am addicted to it, but there is only one thing. Their staff moderate sometimes without even asking the players why they did it. Seems useless? Not really. One time I thought posting a picture along with every post made it my avatar, so I did that. And I was moderated over, and over, and OVER about it. One moderation message even said "Like this image? Why not make it your avatar?" but it didn't mention HOW to make it my avatar! The staff didn't even try to figure out why I was doing it, and I felt like I was punished because the moderators hated my avatar... I felt like I was punished for nothing... Atelier 801 needs to be more careful about choosing moderators, and they should have the moderators ASK the players why they do what they do. The moderators are meant to keep the forums in order FOR THE PLAYERS, so why shouldn't they LISTEN TO THE PLAYERS? |

Staff aren't responsible for the fact you don't know how to put up an avatar when there's a Q&A thread and a tutorial on how to put it up however. Moderation are kinda busy dealing with 489348 things. It sucks but unless they get more then that won't change. |

Just to add, we truly get lots of reports and I honestly cannot imagine sending an inbox message to everyone and ask "Why did you post this image?", "Why did you spam?", "Why did you insult this user?", "Why are you homophobic?". Does not sound very sensible to me. If you see a post of yours moderated and you are unsure why it was taken down, it is your responsibility to contact a sentinel and ask what you've done wrong. We are very happy to listen to the players, but we can't listen if we are not contacted in the first place, right? Confused about how stuff works? Then ask and we will gladly answer. (As for my reply to this thread, I prefer the forums 100x) |

Haruhitastic a dit : How should new members know about the tutorial or Q&A? Maybe moderaters should make the Q&A easier to find, that would help a LOT. 489348 things? Why not get more moderators?? :) ^ Exactly what I previously said. Sabusha a dit : Well, I must admit I can't argue with that. I'm not a moderator, so I couldn't understand what it's like to be one. You wouldn't have to ask it for every kind of report, just ones that are repetetive and have already been moderated over 4 times. Not all players know how to message. Also, when the story I explained happened, there was no such thing as 'messaging' and it was impossible to contact a moderator unless you made a spam thread. (or if you whispered them in-game) Makes sense. I can't argue with that.. Thank you for the offer, but I'll pass as of now. |

A lot has changed since this happened though. The case you're referring to dates back to summer 2013, when we were still on the flash forums. Spam was a serious issue back then and the moderation tools were quite limited. No private messaging and no links in warnings and sanctions. Under those conditions it becomes very hard to point people to the right threads even if there was time to do so. I hope that with these forums you haven't had as much trouble and moreover I hope that a two year old issue doesn't still define how you feel about Atelier 801 and its moderation. Lemodile a dit : True, I can't argue with that. It's not really much of a problem now, but I still look back at those moderations on my profile and feel like I was cheated for being innocent. |
