Magi is an anime that was released on 2013 based off of the manga which is still ongoing. It has around 20 volumes at the moment and around 200 chapters of it as well. This anime is basically about a young boy or Magi named Aladdin, a royal boy named Alibaba and a used-to-be-slave Morgiana who goes on adventures to meet their goals.
A magi is a person who controls the Rukh and are loved by many djinns (genies). There are 4 Magis in the world of Magi (lolxD)
The anime has 2 seasons and 50 episodes in total but a new series I guess you should call it was released this year and it's called "Sinbad no Bokuen" which translate to the Adventures of Sinbad. One episode has been released and rumors say that the second episode will release sometime in August 2014, up to then it is considered an OVA.
There are empires in the anime "Magi" and a few of the major ones are called "Balbadd" , "Sindria" , "Kou" and the bad empire which is trying to capture the world "Al Thamen"
Later on in the 2nd season , the protagonists learn more about the Al Thamen and set off to beat them up.
There are also dungeons they could conquer and get djinns (genies).

I can't believe no one's replied yet! I know it's not a very popular anime but still..
Nonetheless, I love Magi! I'm still not very far in the series especially since I have many animes to catch up on, but I would love to continue.

I started watching Magi last night.
I'm only on episode 3 and I'm already in love with the plot.
The anime is very different from the manga.
Magi really needs more love.
I like Alibaba, but Aladdin is such a cutie~
