Northwind glanced at Cloudchaser. The black and white she-cat greeted him with warm eyes. "Hey Northwind." She mewed. The multi-colored tom smiled at his best friend in the clan. "How're things?" Cloudchaser looked down at her paws, her expression changing from welcoming to despair. "Icestar is sick. She's on her last life." Northwind nodded. "I know...almost everyone in SnowClan has greencough." He replied with grief. Cloudchaser shivered, sitting by Northwind for warmth. "We should just leave here." Cloudchaser mewed unexpectedly. Northwind looked at her, bewildered. "That wouldn't be right. We can't leave our clanmates here." Cloudchaser looked up at Silverpelt, shivering against the cold winds. "StarClan will watch over SnowClan. They wouldn't want us to get greencough too?" Northwind blinked. "I'm still not sure if..." The black and white she-cat looked at Northwind. "We can lead our clan to a new home." Northwind stood up, astonished at her words. "B-but Icestar?" Cloudchaser narrowed her eyes. "She might not make the journey. You're our deputy, Northwind.. You have to make a decision to save the clan..."



Cloudchaser padded, breathing heavily against the strong winds and struggling to keep up in the thick snow. "Northwind," She choked out. "How much farther?" The tom stopped in his tracks and turned around, facing Cloudchaser and the five other clanmates that came from SnowClan. "Just a little further. Maybe over those mountains." Cloudchaser nodded, looking back at her clanmates that decided to come with them. "We'll find our home soon." She promised. Northwind kept looking back, past the cats and at the former SnowClan camp. His other clanmates looked at him, as if doubting his decision to move camps. Cloudchaser sighed, walking up to Northwind and placing her tail on his shoulder. "You did the right thing..." Northwind shook his head, ignoring her words and moving forward.



Cloudchaser paused in the snow, looking back to see her pawprints that led to the mountains. She paid attention to them, the carvings and the unusual caves. "Cloudchaser." Northwind meowed in awe, staring at a smoothed out area of snow surrounded by the trees of the forest. "Is...Is that a Clan camp?" Cloudchaser turned around, her eyes widening at the discovery. The seven cats glanced around the area, looking at the thickets and moss inside it. Northwind approached a small pond, with rocks big enough for paws to step on. He followed the rocks, leading to a big stone only tail lengths away. Northwind leaped on the stone, looking out to admire the snowy area and the trees that made the forest. Cloudchaser and the former SnowClan cats looked up at Northwind on the stone. "Northstar." Cloudchaser mewed softly. Northstar's fur prickled at his new name. "Northstar." He echoed back to himself, staring up at StarClan. He looked back down at his best friend. "Cloudstar." He meowed. The black and white she-cat smiled slightly, knowing they found somewhere to settle in. Cloudstar jumped on the HighStone with Northstar, smiling happily at the five cats and looking around their camp. Northstar's eyes darted to a kit, smiling and baring his fangs at a snowflake that melted once it reached the ground. He kicked up snow, flurries flying up in the air.
