"Um, so what did you call me out of camp for, Nightclaw?" asked a sturdy tabby tom
"I need you to see something, but first, i need to get another clan's warrior, they have something for you to report back to Yellowstar, Deputy." Replied Nightclaw "Stay Right here."
The Jet Black tom raced off into Riverclan Territories
Nightclaw met his friend, Ravenwing, where he asked him to meet with him and told him his plan
Ravenwing smiled,"Okay" Said Ravenwing with a grin,"I'll kill Hawkwing"

"Hawkwing is dead!" yowled Nightclaw.
Cats all around stared at him with horrified looks
"How did this happen Nightclaw?" asked Yellowstar, A ginger she cat with bright yellow eyes
" I had spotted something strange near the Sunning rocks, when out of nowhere a band of rogues ambushed and attacked us. I managed to take their lives unharmed, but Hawkwing was fatally bitten in the throat" Replied Nightclaw with Sorrow."I should have acted faster"
"I guess I have to appoint a new deputy" Murmured Yellowstar
"Cats of Thunderclan! It is now time to appoint a new deputy following the death of Hawkwing. I say this over the body of Hawkwing so he and our ancestors can approve of my choice. I choose Nightclaw as my new deputy, for always showing bravery in his battles."
"Nightclaw!" chanted the cats, "Nightclaw! Nightclaw!"
Nightclaw smiled. He knew Yellowstar was on her last life, he new what he would do.
He would find Ravenwing to assist him in killing Yellowstar
