[Suggestion] forum ajax |

I knew this would be the most noticeable difference, and it certainly is. The flash forums used a socket connection to only relay data necessary (post content, author information). This was efficient and *fast*. However, loading every thread as an individual webpage is not. The unnecessary HTML overhead slows down both transfer and rendering. The entire page has to be rendered again, the CSS rules have to be interpreted again, the JS VM has to execute the same scripts again. All of this just to go from page 1 to page 2 on a thread. I would like to suggest using AJAX to request only the relevant information when loading a page and making use of the dynamic object model to make changes where changes actually occur on the page. Or just give me an API and I'll do it myself. |

This wouldn't be a new forum, Blazingbrav. It'd be a minor but useful addition to this forum. |

Support. It would be much faster, more responsive and require less bandwidth if done right. |

Oh, I could never figure that out. If it means the forums will be faster I will support this. |
