[Suggestion] FAQ as a 'Section' |

TL;DR - -Applies to all the other game forums -All data from the original FAQ threads would be transferred to the section eg: The FAQ in the image would like to the thread 'Forum FAQ' Many players have been asking many questions regarding in all forums, and many don't really know where they are and post questions as a new thread, when you could just ask in the FAQ thread. To make it easier for new players (or players that are just too dense to find the thread), i suggest we make it as one of the 'Sections'. It would be more notice-able, easier to access and it would definitely help moderators and sentinels, they do not have too much work on locking threads that is asking questions. Support! There's a few other threads that would be nice to have "pinned" like this too (forum rules for example). |

In my opinion there's no need for an entire board just for guides. Usually guides are only relevant to a specific section (such as the module documentation won't be useful to people unless they're interested in modules, in which case they'd look in the modules board). If anything, the only thing that would be needed is a thread that acts as a list of all other guides. |

Shamousey a dit : I think I mistyped something but I was actually referring on a board that refers to the FAQ thread Like the FAQ there would link to here. It just seems weird that players can't seems to find the FAQ thread and continues to make question threads which is a bother to you guys |

I don't think there needs to be a subforum that is actually a redirect button to a single thread. People can lurk around the forum to find out where stuff goes on the forum. The Forum FAQ is a stickied thread in the first EN subforum, and the Q&A thread in the TFM Discussions subforum links to the guide as well. (though the Q&A thread and link probably can be a little harder to find) |

Dracoleaf a dit : For many people knowing were to look for stuff on the forum when you are new is hard to do. Plus Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean people will (you do know you're on the internet right? =p). I don't consider this suggestion something for them but instead something for forum regulars, since impatient people will see "FAQ" and go there instead of posting a new thread. Or at least that why I support it. In my opinion, most of the people who don't look for the FAQ aren't actually interested in following forum rules / looking for things, but just in posting stuff ASAP so everyone can hear their brilliance / world altering query :). Besides, you don't know to look for a FAQ thread unless you know it exists; and since most sites have a FAQ thread easy to find, they probably just assume there is none and thus they should just post. |
