-Story-
There was once a kit named Jewelkit, who's mother was Dawnclaw and his littermates were Moonkit, Highkit, Ripplekit, & Lark-kit. They were all a part of Moonclan, an area surrounded by a valley and trees, with plenty of birds and rivers to swim in. Moonclan was one of the biggest clans there were, and there were over a hundred cats who lived there. One day, when Jewelkit was an apprentice; Jewelpaw, he was outside hunting a thrush, assigned by his mentor, Tumblespring, he heard a loud rumble, and he perked his ears up. Quickly peering up, he saw trees falling, and cats yowling. He ran off so the falling trees wouldn't get to him. He peeked behind his tail and saw a huge crack in the ground, there was an earthquake! Before it can take his paws down, he leapt to the other side and ran where the earthquake wasn't running. He crossed ShellClan's border, but before he can go any further, a cat leapt at him, raking his claws across Jewelpaw's face. Jewelpaw yowled, and his fur bristled.
"I mean no harm, I am running away from the earthquake in MoonClan!" Jewelpaw hissed.
A huge crowed of MoonClan cats stampeded to ShellClan's border as well. They hopped into the nearby river out of the valley.
"Wait for me!" Jewelpaw cried out.
Jewelpaw abandoned the cat who attacked him, and chased after the crowed. He didn't know how to swim, and they were nowhere to be seen.
"Jewelpaw." A voice said.
Mottlepaw glanced behind him and saw his mentor, Tumblespring.
"Swim, I know you can do it." Tumblespring encouraged.
"I haven't been taught that, I can't!" Jewelpaw whined.
"Go, go now." Tumblespring rasped, just when he coughed out green.
"H-how did you get-" Jewelpaw meowed.
"Go!" Tumblespring rasped.
Jewelpaw gave Tumblespring a worried glance, and dipped himself into the river. It was freezing, he can't stand it. Although, he swam across, and he looked at Tumblespring.
"That was your last assignment as an apprentice. If you find Driftstar, let him know that you are prepared to be a full warrior." Tumblespring congratulated.
Jewelpaw nodded, and he padded away. He found a cave filled with sparkling sights, and scented a cat. He followed it, and found Driftstar.
"Driftstar!" Jewelpaw purred.
Jewelpaw just then realized that Driftstar was bleeding, and had scratch marks all over him.
"Ahh, young apprentice. I hoped a MoonClan warrior would pass by." Driftstar rasped.
"Driftstar, please, before you die tell me what my warrior name is. Tumblespring accepted me as an apprentice." Jewelpaw meowed.
"Apprentice; I have hundreds in my clan, and named many. You seem left behind, and you're the only one who took time with me. Your name is whatever your destined to be." Driftstar rasped, and began to blinking his eyes.
"Driftstar, answer me! I'm Jewelpaw, please just tell me." Jewelpaw meowed.
Driftstar closed his eyes and opened them again. A smile ran across his face.
"This is my last life, and my last words as well. For you, you found me, and you seem to care no matter how much," Driftstar rasped, and his words got weaker, "I have no time, you are Jewel- Jewelstone, the only one who visited me in the amethyst tunnels." Driftstar rasped.
His words kept getting more croaky every time he talked. His eyes shut, and his paws and head, which were lifted, hit against the grass. Jewelstone kept padding further into the mottle patches until he found about forty of the MoonClan cats, including Driftstar's deputy, Shredfur.
"Only all of you are here. Most of the other MoonClan members went in other diretions. I will be the one leading this area here we chose as the new clan territory with the mottles..." Shredfur was announcing, "... if Driftstar doesn't return, then I will be the new leader, Shredstar, and my deputy will be Firehawk..." Shredfur continued announcing.
Jewelstone padded over closer to the high rock, and interrupted his speech.
"Sorry for interrupting, but Driftstar is dead. I found him laying by the mottles, scratched, and he called me Jewelstone." Jewelstone meowed.

Soon, Shredfur became Shredstar, and after several moons, he lost almost all of his lives fighting a group of rogues, who were defeated. He had only four lives left, and he lost them by sinking, greencough, and fighting a fox. When Firehawk, who became Firestar, became the new leader, he seemed to get along with Mottleleaf just fine, so Jewelstone became the new deputy of the clan. Soon after Firestar died, Jewelstone became Jewelstar and he announced that he will rename the clan into AmythestClan, since the amethyst tunnels are perfect to use for their borders.
