.:Happy birthday to Mamoru Chiba/Darien Shields!:.


Today (August 3rd) is Mamoru's birthday!
His age within the series (manga and anime together) ranges from 17-19 years old,
but technically (according to the release of the manga series in 1992)
he's turning 42 years old this year!

As 42 years of age may seem a lot, this actually is a regular occurance that happens with fans who love anime characters made from the 1990s with given ages in their series.
Although not many people pay attention to that math, it's a little shocking to see it when written out, right?

This character truly means a lot to me because Mamoru has been a character and role model I felt like I could look up to as a kid for many reasons.
And because he's gorgeous and holds a special place in my heart like nobody else.
He means so much to me that in my opinion, deserves a birthday thread.
I wouldn't be the person I am today (or even here at all perhaps) without him!

However what makes him special to me is his personality, and while I'm here not to give a bio of him, please trust in me that he is the most...complex but interesting, loving, endearing, and overwhelmingly attractive character.

Anyway, in celebration of Mamoru I personally put together a birthday shrine for him!
