In 2015, Marvellous Inc bought a company called XSeed Games that could publish Harvest Moon for them and decided not to use Natsume anymore. However, Natsume owns the rights to the name ''Harvest Moon'' and several of the English characters names so Marvellous INC cannot use ''Harvest moon'' as their title. Natsume, not passing an opportunity up, decided to make their own game under the title of ''Harvest Moon''. Both have the same plot and mechanics, but they are completely different games. Although there are many spin-off games to the series, such as Rune Factory,River King and the Innocent Life games - there are only a few Harvest moon side games that are true to the main story. Most of these (if not all) are made by Natsume. Puzzle De Harvest Moon - 2007 (North American), DS ----------------This game was a puzzle game that had you competing in puzzles, playing as either the male character ''Pete'' or the female main character ''Clair''.(They spelt her name wrong in this game.) You could compete against other players over Wifi. Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming, DS, 2009 (North American) -- A sequel to ''Puzzle De Harvest Moon.'' The sequel was based around the IOH characters, with added modes and puzzles. You could unlock illustrations of your favourite character and background music. Harvest Moon: My Little Shop, Wiiware, 2009 -You could run a shop. MLS was a rather strange game, it has it's own plot and might possibly be a main game..but it doesn't really have enough content to be considered as one and has no original characters. In the game, you were in charge of running your own shop which other harvest moon characters would visit. You could purchase DLC and unlock more characters. |
