Happy Anniversary! This game isnt truly dead. Any games that im playing indicated that the game would last long (even potentially forever) so i dont believe this game would die easily (and im still playing after 5 years!). Welp, here some advice : 1. Atelier801 need to create mobile platform games i think, simply put transformice as mobile would make the game alive again. a lot computer games already releasing their game in mobile version and gain huge success. Mobile g era would last longer than computer g era, well idk about VR g in future. 2. Dont put moar suck event, just back to old event that im really love in the past!! if not pls theres several games that would give great example of event. such as daily login, event parameters, or even gacha that would benefit the company (ok dont mind too much about this one, im suck at rng). 3. Remove some unneccessary feature. cafe, election, item, even its okay to remove skill things on transformice. Reason? they are bad. In the game, meet trollers and watch bully chat is ordinary things since this game used to be like that but after adding them, theres a lot drama and nonsense discussion that not even worth to read :( 4. If possible please add some new gameplay mechanic aspect instead social aspect such as cafe or election. Better release something new in gameplay, probably ground that would disappear or drop once touched, ladder item instead walljump everywhere, more limit ground, trap mice, warp holes or even enemies like halloween event would do. social aspect has been given update too much then the gameplay keep same as day by day. its not bad things but that could be reason why so hard to get unique and fun map nowadays in transformice to enjoy. lastly, sorry for bad en. |

Hi again! I wanted to offer a different perspective on why I think your other games you tried were not successful. I can only speak from my experiences. So its possible my analysis is wrong or not as accurate as it could be. But basically, your first successful game was one that centered around cute mice racing for rewards and customizations in a very social setting (with some time to mess around with friends and other people at your choosing). It also had environment manipulation and customizations that can be done in real time (shaman), or over time, custom maps (though some maps suck). BouBoum.. Last time I played it, the character sprites were really tiny.. This is terrible for customizations because your character was so small. The game was also fixed as a "bomber-man" top-down format gameplay with no real chance to hang out (once you get hit, you are off the map. And its very hard to avoid getting hit due to the nature of the gameplay. Bouboum basically plays like a minigame with alot of limits. Its fun for a little bit. But probably not good at all for actually making money. Though tbh I have not played the game in years so I do not know if it has improved. Dead Maze... I joined Transformice for the cuteness and fun factor. I didn't play TFM to later play a "Zombie Game". I have never tried it as those types of games are normally not my thing anyways. Small note: I decided to look up Dead Maze on Youtube and the artwork and game environments looks great! But I did not like the idea if playing as a human killing zombies.. So I will not be playing it. Sorry! Fortresse.. Last time I played it years ago, it was ok. But it did not hold my attention long. I might try it again to see how it is. But aside from a nice little distraction, it lacked the reasons why I joined TFM. Plus I don't really like playing as human. NekoDancer. I have no idea what a "Neko" is. But it makes me think Neko is a cat. It plays like a minigame. Last time I played it, it had some character customizations. I do not know how much freedom you have in hanging out with friends as you are removed from the screen once you fail a song. I don't think there is anything else in the game that was interesting. It feels like a limited mini game that you get bored of after a few songs. Might have been more popular when DDR series was big in the arcades. I may try this again to see if they have improved upon things. Had there been other ways to play as a cat, I might have played it more. Also having a room full of cats that stare at you most of the time can be a little creepy or intimidating. With the exception of Dead Maze, the above games felt too limited and did not hold my attention for long. It is hard to say what would make those games better. But I do know that I like and still like Transformice. And that, had those other games been more like TFM, but in a different and uniquely entertaining package, I may have played them much more. I can talk about the kinds of games I would like to play. But I am not sure if such concepts would be popular or helpful. Hope this post has helped you in some way. Your fan Acccelerate~ |

how bout a suggestion to put up the player count on the login screen again for all of the games, since a801 already acknowledged a 'popularity decrease', which is basically what every game does endure |

Problems of Games and Solution Suggestions ~With perspective of TR Transformice had attracted attention since the 2010 when it was published, it had millions of players around worldwide, Transformice's name had spread from ear to the ear but nowadays, somethings are getting worse... With the Transformice, other Atelier801 games are not attract players and player community lost day by day. I wrote this essay because I want to give reasons whichs about players' dissatisfactions (these reasons causes to leave the game), give suggestions about incomplete works/wrong works, how can the community of the player be growing and for help to Atelier801 team. The game was not fun after certain times for players (especially after the 2015) at the this period, admins did not notice it, so intervention delayed. Reasons of players' dissatisfactions are here: • Game's younger players moreover problems whichs are causes from them like as bad conversations, swearings. • Angry players whichs are dissatisfied because of more and more hackers (are not taken care enough). • Older players whichs are not prefer to play with younger players. (Transformice’s name called “Children game” Moreover, older players become to groups and they hang out in forum or forum tribes with their friends only, after a while they do not want to login game, they contact their friends with other sites because of this reason. • Simplicity of the purpose of the game. Modules adds different purposes to the game however except popular modules (like as Deathmatch, Prophunt etc.) other modules (especially new ones) don’t known by players enough. • Communities whichs are not taken care enough (This definition also includes big communities like as Fr, En, Tr). If new changes are done and introduced only, you can not get enough interaction. While players try it, staff members must at there and encourage to players. On the other hand, If we think that the effects of Discord-type applications increase with the voice channels, servers' voice channels were inadequate in this regard except the international chat. Because of this reason servers’ general channels did not active enough. If they had, players would have spent more time in the game bacause they would have talked about game even if they did not online in the game. The important point to look at ,after explaining the reasons for the players' left from the game, is: What did Atelier 801 staff members do when they realized this situation? What were their right, wrong and incomplete works? Many good things were introduced throughout the process (like as statistics on profile about Survivor/Racing etc.), many things were facilitated (like as search name on tribe tab) but somethings were made wrong. These mistakes: • Until staff realized that players’ dissatisfactions, events were renewing after certain time because of this interval, there was a wait for the players, a source of excitement. For instance, at that time, the players were sending the following type of messages to tribe wall: “Come! Event map is in room 1 now!” After that, staff members wanted to get more players, with this expectation, events were come in succession. At first, this events caused to pleasure but it lost it's effect quickly. When players began to earn inventory items more quickly, new events became less interesting. Even in tribe we did not hear “Event, come!” messages. The job was supposed to bring benefit but on the contrary it was transform to monotony. Players addicted to hard things just like the "Flappy Bird" and "Aa" games or bootcamp maps, not easy ones. But i must remind here that difficult is not mean to hard to understand. In this context, last winter event was very boring, when the map came, players went out the rooms because they did not understand what would they do. • Games were produced without market appraisal, worrying about losing money and players and it caused to waste of resources. For example "Fireman" game and Bouboum. Before the Bouboum, many of game sites included “Fireman”. Like that, before the Nekodancer, game world had similar game: “Stepmania” because of this reason these 2 games did not take interest despite few novelties, they were the usual game types so company lost the money. Run for Cheese was perceived as the minion of Transformice, not a game in itself, it did not spread enough and gradually it's players decreased after the first year. The missing player community do not play the game again because of new changes only. For example imagine a player –who was not play game until 1 year- this player does not return to the game because of few new modules only, but new modules ensures that game does not lose more players. These types of players sometimes miss the game and for a short time they login game and logout. If the game improves, they will be convince to play game again just at that times. Like as 2011-2012, games’ name can spread around many people. The two most important reasons about the Transformice's steadily descending community: 1-) The players who plays in the first years of the game, grew and left the game. 2-) Transformice could not reach the new generation in this age group (old players' age group when they started play). Transformice was not advertised to this age group enough. If we handle these 2 reason, we can offer solutions. • Atelier801 may place ads for their games to other game sites (Especially popular games’ websites and areas in the game). In a similar way these games’ ads can advertised in Atelier801 games’ websites. • Can cooperate with other gaming companies. For example; make a new game with other gaming company, do an event about technology or games around countrwide with other gaming companies (not only fairs). With this way, company's and games' name will heard more often. • Cooperation with other companies than gaming companies may also be possible. Like as this: Players can be earn 20-70 cheeses or 0-10 strawberries with Coca Cola codes and Cola adds can be advertised at Tfm/Deadmaze websites. With this way both of companies win. • Courses may be opened to increase the company's income on the internet (about game or unrelated to the game). Like as; “Do the map with good pictures” or “Be a good digital illustrator”. For these courses, especially the rising trends can be taken into consideration: Maker current. • Encourage players to innovate instead of just leaving their own. For example one staff (admin/mod/senti/helper) can race with players and she/he can say: “I will take this badge before you!” It will be an interesting situation especially younger players and encourge them. • Player community must be improved. the staff should be selected from more active ones so that they can deal with the players. Some staff members enter the game very little. • Swearers' and hackers' numbers are too high in the game. If they are reduced, number of active players may be increase because most of them left the game because of hackers so they say: “If I can not get first, I will login pvp servers or I will not play the game again. • A system can be created about swears. Points earned per day, if player swears, point reduced. if the score decreases too much, player gets mute punished without need moderator. • If Admins reluctant to play the game, this situation will be reflect on the players after the other team members. Do not make just new things for players (new event, new moderator, new…), while doing these new things, live together with players. • Deadmaze is a good option for players who left the game. Because popular game world based on war and in the game, tasks are changing between different difficulty levels. It is a successful game if innovations added by following currents in the coming years. • Events can be organized to make the forum interesting (events that can tracked/joined from the forum only) after that players can get used to forum. • A system can created that allows players to organize tournaments among themselves. This system can work its own module room like #deathmatch, #circuit etc. Tournament badges, statistics can add player’s profiles like as Racing, Survivor statistics. Tournaments’ style of play: Players will choose maps’ diffuculty level with their votes (like Circuit) than game will start. For example, according to selected difficulty level, 30 maps will open, at the last, one player will win and according to the diffuculty level of tournament, tournament points will add his/her profile. They can earn the tournament according to the following purposes (suggestions): + Who do the “10 firsts” firstly. + Who finished the maps shorter time at total. Players’ names, who score the most points, can be announced every week. Thank you for reading. Dernière modification le 1526680680000 |

Transformice to me is this immortal place on the internet, shared with Habbo, Club Penguin and the like. But I do think the concept needs to be updated or changed in some way. I think the problem is that while TFM has all these customisation and map building options, object physics and building, it's very much a one-track game. Collect cheese, stick cheese in hole, is all it can ever really be. Shamans can build, but the end goal is always the same - help/hinder other cheese-getters. A game like Minecraft has depth because it's just so customisable - maps can be near-infinite sizes, redstone can create near-infinite effects, and command blocks and mods can be used to make custom game modes, challenges and goals beyond collecting resources and building. Transformice doesn't have that luxury. Whether it's because the screen only stretches so far; the physics only allow for so much; the goals can only be edited to an extent; etc etc etc - I don't know. But Transformice is limited in the same way as any single-server MMO: The player can only play as the game allows. Compare that to Super Mario World and Sonic games, which have had ROMhacks for years, changing the physics, level design and visuals. Compare it to Pokemon, with ROMhacks on top of Nuzlockes on top of competitive play. Compare it to TF2, with custom servers, weapon loadouts and mods. I love Transformice. I've been here since way back in 2010, and I imagine I'll never find a game to fill the same space, should it ever be taken offline. But the game is held back by its own concrete gameplay model, and I believe that needs to change if TFM is to stay alive. Thanks for reading, -Xo |

Sry, but I disagree with you Xommz I believe that tfm has to stay with it's own traditionnal gameplay model; although I bet it will become impossible with new internet scripts or other at some futures points. The Atelier 801 decided to creates other games; why not continuing in this direction. |
