well guess it was fixed due to the inclusion of supporting imgur files
kinda wish they'd open micepix again but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

im not sure why would they, micepix flopped face first with barely any attention and misc posts. maybe if they somehow rework It with some additional features, then sure, it may be worth giving it a second chance

micepix didn't have anything else that stood out compared to imgur and other image-sharing sites, so i don't see why the admins should revive it.

Sea a dit :
micepix didn't have anything else that stood out compared to imgur and other image-sharing sites, so i don't see why the admins should revive it.

I mean, when you think about it, it allowed people from all over the world upload their images for use on this platform and many others. Imgur is blocked in Turkey, for example, so Turkish people would be unable to view images that are hosted on Imgur. Micepix helped get around that and made it so that you can assure everyone on this platform can see your images.

There were definitely pros and cons with it, so I feel like if they were to revive it, they definitely need to get those worked out first.

did you ignore the part where i mentioned that there are sites that function just like imgur? in that case i'm pretty sure it was not the end of the world for turkish people out there, since they already have so many alternatives that they can work with. that hassle alone is not enough to justify bringing micepix back imo.

I did not ignore that part at all, I just used Imgur as an example. Just because some websites work in some countries, doesn't mean it will in others.
For all we know, there may be websites that are banned in America, for example, but work everywhere else.

I still think Micepix would be the best bet in assuring everyone on the platform will be able to see the images players post.

i didnt even knew imgur is banned from other countries. welp

but i guess they had a reason to take down micepix. the company is almost broke and theyre struggling to keep the forums up. its saddening that many people cant use imgur, but i guess micepix were giving more costs to the staff than benefits

but yeah, the profile image thing is bullshit. i understand that they want to stop people from putting inappropriate stuff on their profiles, but this is laziness in part of the staff. ive never seen a forum do that.

you just repeated the same argument which i already disproved. we can agree to disagree, but i don't see micepix returning back again because it's just that useless bro.

How come other people can use gifs in their profile but when i do it it keeps hiding it!?

it begs an explanation, is there a way to get it to stop doing this stupid thing cos i really want to use a gif in my profile, this gif https://i.pinimg.com/originals/48/98/b0/4898b0a23b14a47717d2072b7998aab0.gif

that gif isn't hidden though, it showed up just fine (atleast on my end)
and as far as i know, imgur links are the only ones don't get spoilered

I don't know-- I went on Cyane's profile, and some of their Imgur links have been spoilered.

wow, thanks for bolding that word! wouldn't have known what links you were referring to otherwise! /s
cyane's links are hidden only because they don't contain the [i.] prefix at the beginning of the link, but given the fact that it's already included the moment you copy an image's url, and provided you don't mess with it, you'll definitely not see that spoiler.

The sarcasm is strong with this one...

But either way, it's still an Imgur link, so I guess it tepends on how you format it or something.
