What kind of game do you think this will be?

from what i can make out from the picture, it may hint that you won't be dancing continuously, and maybe they'll be a place where you can hang out with other people? just a thought

Exactly what I thought first too.
It looks like a waiting room, so it must be either where there must be a certain number of player to start the game or just a chat room...
First one seems the most logic one...

If they do have their own music, it's probably gonna suck. Most likely going to use youtube.

Can already see this being a failure if they use youtube though, because if it's like DDR the arrows probably won't sync well with the "music."

I'm guessing that there's going to be a lobby room I suppose where players can challenge each other or open rooms/matches of DDR or dance competitions. Of course there will be a limit of people who can play in one match. Perhaps the creator of the match can select the limit of players.

It may be DDR or something more complicated, like preset dance moves or moves that you make by combining base moves together.

seriously? A straight "NO" for self created music?
the soundtrack in transformice and fortoresse were pretty great (imo).

But i can't give out my jerkish opinion like this too, we just need to wait for the beta to find out.

Ne means not in french meaning NotDancer becuase they added a Ko to Ne meaning this is not a Dancing game.

I doubt they have generated key strokes. I suspect it will be like in tfm where you can set up maps. You have an editor, where you can put in a song or youtube link, and then make your own paterns. However if they do this, they will need something like in tfm with perms, vanilla(done by the atelier staff), and probably also rooms for non permed. Since you know there will be someone who just makes troll tracks, and that is no fun.

It's obvious with a name like "Nekodancer"
"Neko/猫" is "Cat" in Japanese, and "Dancer" is added in the end of it.
