Why is it that I nearly never see any mods online for Nekodancer? When there is a report that needs attention there is no one to tell. I myself have the tribunal command and I am on frequently so I would like to be a mod. I know that applications are closed and I don't meet the requirements but if you ask a few people I know you can have them confirm that I am very mature for my age. Being 13 I also know that I am inexperienced but this could be countered by the fact that I am a reasonable and fair. I know my age group has too many flaws to count but I am one of the most responsible people of my time. Any suggestions or ideas for what to do~? I know a few mods are active on the forums so I hope they see this. |

A sentinel or mod will probably close this down, but neko does not need any mods because it does not have any hackers. However, issues to be considered are inappropriate videos that have bypassed the age limit restriction on YouTube, and people who are being rude, vulgar and/or abusive in chat. |

I do agree that they might take it down but there is still the stuff to worry about past the hackers. I have run into many people that break the rules on Nekodancer with their language, videos, or anything else that is wrong to do. I don't want to sit back and do nothing but I don't want to do anything harsh. My intentions are as simple as clean up a little and keep people happy. A few of my friends are being followed by people then flooded and harassed because some people find it fun to make people start hating the Atelier 801 games due to the lack of maturity in their players. |

Yes, I agree it's a rather sad thing that people are being turned away from Transformice through Steam, and from the new games via the websites or standalones by people who are generally rude and treat newer players badly. I know this is true because a lot of the Negative reviews on the Steam client of Transformice noted that the community was vulgar and unwelcoming. I've noted that it's usually the mid level players who are behaving this way (not the pros, who have enough experience to know that competition isn't everything as they have either reached what they want or have given up) and some of these players are getting to a point in their gameplay where they perpetuate an egotism-fueled competitive environment that is unfriendly to newer players. 80% or so of inexperienced accounts are inactive because they are alts, new players who have quit, or "filler" accounts. Whereas I see that most of the new players I see around I never see anymore unless a welcoming environment is provided for them or they do not find the game too difficult. There is a rule covering "insults" and these are reportable, however it is usually reserved for extreme cases and excessive use of vulgar words. This creates this loophole where people who are abusing new players are left unmanaged and it turns out that Atelier 801's community is the one that is killing their own games. It's extremely sad, and is made worse by updates which either never come or are delayed regardless if a release date is announced. There's a strong distrust in parts of the community towards the Atelier 801 team. Increasing distrust, particularly in the branch games, is pretty much killing off the games. I understand that 4 games is a lot to manage, but there also needs to be attention given to rulebreakers, hackers, and people who are abusing other players. I've been pushing for similar action on Fortoresse (if you ever saw my petition) but I'm not sure what will happen even if we reach our target. I believe the moderation, sentinels and admins are aware of this issue, but of course have their priorities. Dernière modification le 1425085200000 |

If they want to expand their community on the four games they currently have made then they need to fix the current problem on the games. When I first walked into Nekodancer I was welcomed and treated as a friend but once as I stepped a foot into Transformice I was insulted and discouraged due to the fact I hadn't played. Too many mid level players are mistreating new members as well as some of the experienced players such as myself. Last night I saw someone tell another slightly new player to kill themselves for unknown reasons. I find it unacceptable for our community to shrink down to only the experienced and mid level rude players of the Atelier 801 games. It is hard to find new players in games like these mainly because of difficulty or mistreatment on the first day. I'm sure that the mods, admins, and sentinals are working at their own priorities but unless some of us players can help expand, we will fall. I want to help Nekodancer just like you want to help Fortoresse (I did indeed see that petition and I do indeed support it) but there isn't much we can do without power or help. Hm, I don't think I've had quite the same experiences as you guys, at least not on Nekodancer. I've been playing since August (I imagine you started playing earlier Solfn), and I've been subject to very little abuse. On occasion I have, but I can usually laugh it off and have a bit of banter. Understandably, not everyone can. But I think Nekodancer is a fairly happy place. Transformice though, oh Lord. I've only played it a handful of times, and what do you know, the most popular word in the chat is the word 'noob'. I laugh it off, but obviously not everyone can. I don't think I've experienced quite the amount of vitriol you guys seem to have recieved, but I can understand these negative reviews on Steam. On a side note I cannot fathom that people are actually bragging about hacking. One aspect of the Atelier community that needs to be mentioned is the forums. Now while a lot of people on the forums are some of the nastiest people you'll ever meet, it's well moderated, at least by comparison to the games. I'm rather proud of my resolution I made after a couple of incidents in the 'What are your opinions on today's generation?' thread that I won't ever get sucked into a petty argument again. If someone irritates me, I'll simply report them and it'll get sorted within 10 hours maximum. And of course, this couldn't be done on the games. As for Atelier, well I'm just as annoyed with the lack of updates as any other Bouboum/Fortoresse/Nekodancer player, but if they're too busy, then they're too busy. Although I would like to say to them 'If you can't maintain all these games, then don't make them'. And moderators, of course there needs to be more. I wish it could be as well moderated as the forums. But it's easier said than done. Overall, it does make sense that you've had negative experiences. I can detect that a lot of the players are extremely immature, and maybe I just have a talent for not setting it off. But I'm very happy with Nekodancer. Transformice, not so much. The forums, oh God, they've probably caused me more stress than what it's worth since I started posting in December, but at least it's well moderated. |

I think I saw a hack once. Someone had 96% and another person had 100%. The person with 96% was ranked first, so the person with 100% was ranked second. I noticed the person with 96% had a higher combo (notes hit, not amount of points hit from notes) than the person with 100% and I can recall that the person with 96% was in the room for the whole time. Plus, I saw the person with 96% during freestyle seeming to hit notes and get points for the notes. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or a hack though. |

huggykitty a dit : (I have tried twice to type out and educated and detailed response to you but on both occasions something has happened, such as the forums going under maintenance or accidentally going back a page or two by hitting the backspace button while clicked off the message) Transformice, this is where everyone gets reported for being better than someone else. In the transformice discussions section you could find a rant thread I did complaining about all of the false hackers I see and how immature and childish it is to even consider reporting someone just because they have more experience in a fucking game then others. If you want to see it or if you've already seen it, it's titled "Reports" and is most likely on the second page by now. I Like that you can just laugh it off and ignore the rude players especially with how many of them there are. We need our new players to be kind of mature and happy when someone insults them or discourages them. But as bad as what I am about to say may sound, it is for good reason. I think that atelier could and maybe should just abandon Bouboum to give them more time to fix other games. A moderator had stated on Solfn's petition that only a handful of players get on e1 then e2 is completely deserted. If there are many other players that I don't know about on the different servers then they should keep Bouboum up, but if not many people play the game, it's better to just help the majority and fix the other three games. The forums have been well moderated but the games are having troubles. As people join just to wreck everything, our community shrinks with every day. and so we need more in game moderators for the games, even without hackers. Even without the hackers our games are getting bad reviews on Steam because of the competitive, repulsive people that scared off and mistreat our new additions and experience players. If I could give my opinion on Steam about the games, I could write the longest response of anyone there just trashing on the community. I myself play directly from the websites, but that doesn't stop me from knowing that we are going down in flames. |

Gabeyly a dit : It's not accuracy and points got from hitting notes I'm talking about, it's how many notes the person hit. Dernière modification le 1425132300000 |

Juliantwofan a dit : I Think I've seen this but I don't consider it a hack. I only see that happen to many of the new players in the game, they will bee there the hole time and still get more notes but shorter freestyles or something. I has happened to my uncle once, we were in Kentucky and I wanted him to join me so we went to a room and when he joined, a new song started and he seemed to get more notes than I did. foxyperson a dit : Oh. Thank you. |

Juliantwofan a dit : This is deliberately getting "Oops" a lot before the song starts. The percentage you see is the number of keys pressed correctly divided by the number of keys pressed, even if it's pressed over empty space. So people can still hit all the notes in the song but not have 100%. Not only that, but missing a note costs a minimum of 60 points to the player, so if the player would have been at least 60 points ahead without the miss, it doesn't matter to them. As for addressing why the 96% had more notes hit than the 100%, it's likely that the 100% did not finish the song, but hit all the notes they were given. Also, the 96% may have joined late in the song, so they will start in the middle of the song rather than at the same time as everyone else. As far as I know, there is no way to hack/cheat nekodancer except by changing the sensitivity of Perfects. Dernière modification le 1425160500000 |

I know that you cannot hack in Nekodancer but you still have to take the fact that some of the players are immature and annoying. There is still place for moderators to be on Nekodancer, but it's not as urgent to most people. I seem to be the only person running into assholes and brats who simply want to piss people off so much as to make them leave ND entirely. |
