Peka are winged mammals that live in forests. They mainly eat fruit, insects, and occasionally very small mammals. They hunt with echolocation and with their super-sensitive sense of hearing. Pekas nest in trees and rarely walk on four legs. If they absolutely cannot glide,then they hop on their back legs. All pekas have a mane of fluffy hair. It sheds sometimes, and many people are allergic to it. They alsp have two antennae. They can be located any where on the head except in the ears or in obviously weird places, like in the nose or in the eyes XD

They are extremely social and live in flocks.
Unafraid of humans, they can be very playful. some species that live in temperate forests migrate when winter comes, but rainforest varieties do not. Rainforest pekas are also more colorful than temperate pekas. The food peka eat can also influence color. Their colors and wing patterns can be based on any insect, flower, or plant and many pekas are incredibly vibrant like moths. Wing patterns are used to show status, scare enemies, and attract mates.

The wings of a peka are very special. They are made of lightly feathered membranes stretched across thousands of flexible, stiff, fibers. These fibers act like tiny bones and can pivot and contract. By pulling them together, the peka can fold away their wings to their legs. This is useful in thick rainforest undergrowth, though most peka are agile enough to dodge obstacles. This also allows the to change wing shape for different kinds of flying. To glide over a distance, the wing stretches out. To give a sharp burst of speed through the air, the wing points and stiffens.

Females are larger than males, but males have more colorful and complex patterns to attract females. Males also have larger noses.
Pekas mate sporadically, and usually produce anywhere from 3-7 kittens.

Having no fluff mane, no ears, small ears, fluffy ears, or no wings all are not common traits because they affect some of the major life functions of the peka. Fluffy, small, or no ears can all affect their ability to use echolocation and hunt. The fluff mane protects and insulates the peka. When lacking a nest, they can curl into it for shelter. It is also water-resistant to protect a peka in a rainstorm. Having no wings makes it harder to hunt or glide to tree to tree looking for fruit. Wings are a peka's major way of transportation. Pekas with these traits would most likely have trouble surviving or have to be taken care of by humans.

Appearance: They are a creature that looks like a little bird with a mask. They're legs look like mini deer legs but with
tiny hooks or "fingers" at the end. Their fur looks like feathers because of how long it is. They have little wings but they keep their
wings so well hidden in their fur it looks like they don't have any. They have a little stub for a tail which has really long fur on it.
Their fur is mostly dark colors. They wear a bird's skull or a mask.

Gender and Sexuality: Both genders look greatly alike, so it's very hard to tell which one is a female and which
one is a male. Sometimes them too gets caught up in the confusion which leads to homosexuality. They are Pansexual because of that.

Intelligence: They are very smart creatures. It doesn't take them long to understand human language.
When in a group or pack, they quickly learn to help each other out. They have a keen eye.

Predators : Since they are small Large dogs, cats, wolves, foxes, hawks, etc. prey on them.

Location: Are often found around ponds, lakes, and rivers. They are also found in trees or in tunnels under the ground
that they made. They are more active at Dawn and Dusk.

Food: They eat almost anything, though they mostly prefer human's cooked food because
it's much better than hunting.

Human form: They appear as a 15-17 year old (though they are grown adults) because of them being so small in their creature form.
Though being human doesn't mean much. They still act like their normal selves.

Keeping them as pets: They are very easy to catch out in the wild. At first it may take awhile for them to get used to it.
They are VERY energetic and hyper. They love to run and play games with others. They also love climbing and getting into trouble.
They will not eat any kind of pet food. And they love sweets.

Along with others: They get along very well with their own species. With others they can also get along
unless the other takes away or gets more attention than them, they will start a tantrum until you pay attention to them.

As for other "deaths" they do not die of old age, but they can be killed.
