The eyes and massive bunny ears are the ranks, well by color.The tips of ears have a color and special design which these two have and lack since they are twins they have a uncanny design. Eye's are ranked by blue and yellow being the highest.
Which by the plot they both have those colored eyes. They aren't combined , so they aren't blue on one side and blue on the other.
Okay,back to the topic red was tied with purple and a close second to the colors above.
Green being below red and purple.Orange/Pink were only for wizards,magicians, and other magic based themes.They were pretty powerful for their rankings.
Okay,you might ask "What about the other colors above?" i said might MIGHT! Red and Purples are strong smart warriors.Which sometimes protected the royals and payed very well.Blue and yellows are the richest, their powers are mind controlling and they were basically psychic's.Green's are the 2nd smartest of the whole color ratio being in control of the schools and other academics.

Angels and different "specieses" Exist.
Plot made them royalty and back story ensues later..

Kat gave him a straight face and left her bed ,washed up, and went downstairs. Following Kit he did what any normal person has sometimes, his legs are asleep.With a loud thump the two downstairs looked at the ceiling, there guardian was cooking food with his wings.Wait, what?"Ahngel just because you have wings doesn't mean you need to use them to cook food." Ahngel turned his head to the brown haired teen.

"I can do what i want." Ahngel flipped some strange vegetables.Kit stumbled down,he already cleaned him self. "Ahngel... i think i broke my whole body and i feel like i'm walking for the first time." "Well i- uh- it's karma?" Kit crawled to the chair and silence ensued.Ahngel dropped some random uncooked food on the table "Its been years since i looked after you guys ,but I STILL CANT COOK ANY OF THE GODDAMN FOOD YOUR SPECIES MAKES!" Kit and Kat didn't really care so they just stomached down the food and Ahngel went outside for mail. He saw a letter..From the red queen.
