FIRST CHAPTER

I was going to die.

It was the end for me.

But why is the end barely coming? It should have came years ago. Right when I was made.

No one ever cared for me. Nor did I care for myself. I was always alone and never experienced "love".
But...who needed it? I surely didn't. I did fine without it.
Blackness, misery, loneliness. I was being sucked in to a black hole to rot. To die.
But then....
I was saved.
Was it heaven? Was it hell?
I didn't know. But it was a bright place. A happy place...

But how? How did I get here? Was it death?

I then heard a voice, A soft, calming voice.... It was beautiful.
I wasn't being sucked in to a black hole. It wasn't death. It was this. This. This world. Living beings. I was still alive.

I opened my eyes a little. It was dim, but there was light. I lifted myself up and looked around the place. It was blurry around. I saw a figure. Small, slender. A nice figure. I wanted to speak, but I couldn't. I was scared.


He finally recognized me and smiled. A smile so warm and gentle. It warmed my heart a little. He walked over to me and petted my head. He had a glass of sparkly water in his hand and a piece of bread in the other. I looked up at him, but I couldn't see his face clearly. But his smile I could. It made him shine, it made him more out and I liked it. He held out his hand with the water, motioning me to get it. I nodded and took it. I didn't know till a few minutes that my hand was shaking. I held the cup with two hands and took a sip.

Refreshing.

I haven't had water in months. It made me wonder how I stayed alive. He watched me drink it and then handed me the bread. I took it and bit it. It was delicious, it was heaven. A year. A year since I had actual food. I ate the whole thing and drank the whole cup of water. I set the cup on the floor and looked up at him.

He gave me a smile and left. Staring after him I began to feel drowsy. My eyes slowly shut and everything went pitch black.

Sick.
Tired.

Waking up to the brightness of the outside was one thing, but waking up feeling someone's warmth under you was another. I opened my eyes and saw the blurry vision of his face. He was carrying me. He opened a wooden brown door and went inside. My vision was still a bit blurry but i could make out that it was a nice bedroom. A bookshelf, bunk beds, a couch, and another door. He lay me on the bottom bed and covered me up.
One question.
Why?
Why was he taking care of me?
I wanted to speak to him. Ask him who he was, but every time I tried i couldn't. He left the room and shut the door softly. The bed was so soft and comfortable. It was like sleeping on a cloud. I dont know how a cloud feels like but i do know its as soft as this.
Maybe i would get a good sleep that i haven't had in years and then i would try to talk to him. If i can.

"She's been asleep for two days, Leo."

Something was shining in my eyes. My eyes fluttered open and it was the sunlight from outside. I saw the blurry face of his.

"She's awake!"

I sat up straight and rubbed my eyes.

Still blurry.

"Are you okay?" he asked with his soft, calming voice.

I shook my head looking down at the blanket and then pointed to my eyes, "Blur...Blurry..." I stuttered trying to speak.

I covered my mouth and looked up.

Was that really my voice?

My cheeks felt hot and I couldn't look back up. I heard him laugh and grabbed my hand. He took me out of the room and I could see something blurry in his other hand. He had grabbed something from a shelf we passed by.
I closed my eyes as he put something near my face. It felt a little bit heavy but i managed to open my eyes.

I could see now.

Brown ruffled hair, pale skin. Black jet eyes and a warm touching smile.

So...perfect.

"I'll get you pretty, new glasses later."

I managed a smile and a small 'thank you.'




Later that day, he explained to me how I got here.

I was dying.

He found me near a dark alleyway when it was raining. I of course was alone.
But, he was my savior. I don't know why, but he saved me.

He was only a boy my age with a dog named Leo. How does he provide stuff just for two beings?

We were sitting in his small living room in his small house. Leo was sitting on top of me and the boy next to me. I needed to learn his name.

"Whats your name...?" I asked a bit quiet. I was nervous and a bit embarrassed.

He opened his mouth slightly and whispered it out.
