![]() Before beginning I would like to thank Admshumaker for helping me create this idea. He helped me 100% with some screenshots and many ideas towards Adventure Mode. I would also like to partially credit Yosueguillen for applying me with a few screenshots too. As you can see with halloween, the admins released an amazing new event. This event was not only fun, but it showed something we never saw before. Things like AI enemies, health bars, and map to map questing. Imagine what we could do, if this was added to more gameplay. Imagine going on quests with your friends, fighting off enemies and working as a team to defeat a boss or unlock a hidden title. Maybe this could be presented in other events, or just fun updates, but it would be extremely fun! Possibly presenting a better view of playing with other mice and working together. So here I am, suggesting the admins to push this feature FURTHER into Transformice. A new game mode, called Adventure Mode. I will add more detail in this thread over time, so stay tuned! ![]() Well, think of it as an advanced minigame. You will open the menu button and press adventure mode, then be directed to a room. This room can be either public or private, you can also make your own room. The rooms will be like "/room adventure matt" or "/room adventure20". Admins can start off with a couple adventures from releasing this update, and add new adventures randomly or event themed :) Of course, we will have to change the theme of the enemies, and the look of your charecter. Instead of wands, it can just be a mouse swatting or scratching, depending on the theme of the adventure you are in. ![]() You will need atleast 5 mice in the room for the adventure to start, if a mouse leaves a room of only 5 mice, the adventure will end. ![]() When you join the room you will be sent to a waiting map, which will just be a 2:00 countdown. This will be a cooldown between adventures. You cannot join an adventure if it already started, you have to be in the waiting map until the countdown to participate in the adventure. ![]() ![]() When you join the waiting map, a window will open up. This will allow you to select a certain adventure, then your vote will go towards that adventure. Adventures with the most votes will be played, you cannot vote for an adventure if it has been played 3 times in a row. If there is a tie of votes between adventures, an adventure will be selected randomly. ![]() Rewards can be earned by defeating enemies, finding hidden titles, defeating bosses, or just simply finishing the adventure. Cheese: ![]() You can earn small amounts of cheese (3), by completing an adventure. Titles: ![]() You can find hidden titles, for example the halloween adventure has one in the second map. You can also unlock titles by killing certain amounts of enemies, completing objectives, and so forth. Items: You can gain items rarely, only in event adventures. |

/SUPPORT!!!! just one thing, I don't think its such a good idea to put in event maps, I mean they've already said that they wouldn't be adding them into other maps and all. Also the quests, will it be getting an amount of cheese or killing off enemies, somewhat like that? |

HELL NO! Sorry to ruin the Supporters list... But, I actually left the old game I played for 2 years long because of this. Believe me, fighting enemies is not Transformice style and it shouldn't be... This seems quite a pretty nice idea, but if this gets added to Transformice, it would be total Chaos. This should get added as a Minigame, MAYBE. But not as an Adventure... Or should I say, a Storyline u.u Sydoline already said that the game should stay as natural as possible, fighting monsters is just... Boring. Edit: CHEERS FOR QUESTS! I support quests! ^.^ |

I posted something on another thread that I'll quote here and add onto.. The only thing I really see people getting worked up over is the unnatural enemies, Transformice is a silly mouse game that is unnatural in itself and as for the gameplay style changing, if it really had changed it wouldn't have been put as an event, the only thing it's added is HP, AI, and a melee attack. Event options have already been implimented into the game befor, believe it or not. Snow in tribehouses and infection maps. The infection maps are an official part of Transformice now and have there own special rotation to where they're played (only now they're played in normal rotation for the event). I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be okay with this having it's own special room and rotation. One of the problems I do see though, is adding this all to mapeditor and validating the map it self. I'm sure it will be no problem adding enemy AI spawns and such, but I do see a flaw in boss battles. Of course with the userbase i'm sure they can find some creative ways to make them harder/unique, but after a while the same boss will become easy to beat, there would have to be more variety in the boss's and i'm sure the AI takes a long time to code. As for validating the map, you're only one mouse and have to battle by yourself through all 3 maps. I can see the validation process having less enemies and less boss hp to make it possible to do so which isn't much a problem. As for rotation we can't have these maps being played in normal rooms and we can't have them exported as Tribehouse (P22) because of the way the map works. It would require it's own special category to be exported to but I believe it should be treated as a mix of P22 (Tribehouse) and P8 (Co-op Shaman). It isn't played in normal rooms but has to be permed by a mapcrew or mod to it's respective rotation to be played in a rotation. Now I have some suggestions I would like to add. As for themes you stated in the op, I believe enemies should automaticly follow the theme. Example: Halloween: Ghosts and Skeleton mice. Another thing would be different types of enemies and different kinds of "classes" for mice, to put up a little more variety. Let's face it, melee is awesome but i'm sure there will be sometimes you can't get close to a boss or an enemy them selves. So maybe a small ranged attack would help out, but have it as a setting for the map in mapeditor. As for enemies, the ones we have now will get boring after a while, as I said about ranged attacks, enemies should have this ablity. Of course as new type of enemy, they'll have their own special spawn that you can set in your map. There would be more if this were implimented as well, saying there would probably be updates for it. I think I covered almost everything I wanted to suggest? I'm not sure but I kind of forgot. As for voting on the adventures and the waiting room. I think that's kind of absolet if it's going to be it's own rotation and have it's own mini-game room. Mice should be able to join in at anytime because the waiting room would be kind of tidious. Lastly, yes, I know. This sounds alot like an RPG, but these are just my thoughts of how it would be implimented if it were to be. Sorry for the huge wall of text by the way. :p Edit: Just remembered something, making the map able to be 2 - 4 maps long. I think this would help just a tiny bit if it were put into the mapeditor, because it gives you more room to work with. |

volcano themed one and ice arena might work well for this just suggesting sandy dessert dark zombie ill make a few maps to show what i mean when i get sime cheese but i love this idea |
