I suggest that if you have a map permed, an alert should say :

Congratulations!Your map (Code) has been permed!

This alert will appear if you logged in.

I don't think it matters if you know your map's been permed. Your map isn't permed as a reward to yourself, it's for the community to enjoy.

WELL DAMN THAT.

I want to be proud of myself to have a map permed for the communtity to enjoy. I want to feel that I've made a map that the communtity can enjoy.

I need to know, to make me happy. You know, sometimes to make yourself happy about helping the community, you must know.

Therefore it matters. It makes me want to make more. For the community.

I don't support this but I don't agree with this ^ I think perms are something to party about.

Frankly I'd like to know if my map has been permed, would save the trouble of having to dig through the forum

For people counterarguing - think of it this way. Let's say I paint a painting or write some song or poem and it gets nominated for a prize. But if I am not notified, then how do I know that it did (or that it won, if it did)? Maybe I didn't want it entered. I don't know. And anyways, if I won an award for something, I'd probably want to know because it would make me proud. Admit it. When you get a reward, you feel proud. Don't even try to lie.

And plus, it helps by being informative, which this game is seriously lacking in some areas >_>

You are pretty much notified anyway, usaly a mod comes by to tell you you gotta do a edit then it's P# or one of your friends will instantly say when you log on "Hey ____ great job on making P#! :D"

Personally I do like information, it's what I crave, but this really isn't needed.
