I've been replaying DQ IV, V and VI on the DS. IV and V are great, VI is horrible.
I got Skyward Sword about half a year ago and I still haven't finished it. I'm at the Goddess' Silent Realm but I haven't touched my Wii for a few weeks. :c It's been a pretty great game so far, though.

I loved DragonQuest V, the party chat added so much depth to the characters.
Could never get into IV. Gave up in the tournament part of Alena's story.
Haven't tried VI.

Mostly been playing Tribes Ascend, should get around to finishing Metroid Prime and Bioshock soon. Earlier today I downloaded Bastion, it's pretty cool. Expected a little more than just pretty graphics and a funny narrator though.

Is this a thread for any game to discuss? @.@

I'm at the final boss of Skyward Sword. It's quite a toughie.

Rash: Yeah, I loved DQV for the party chat too. Except from Bianca, she was always just talking about when we were young and how we explored the haunted castle etc. I chose Nera over her in my last playthrough and she's a lot more useful.

DQIV lacks some substance, but it's nice and basic. You'll always have some kind of hint as to where to go next, unlike DQVI. The chapter system keeps you engaged and the story very clear.

Alena's chapter is probably the longest out of the first 4 chapters because of the grinding, but I always found it quite easy. For the tourney, just give Alena the best equipment and dump all your Medicinal Herbs on her. The tourney is a piece of cake, really.

I'm gonna guess so, in that case:
I'm a real big time stradegy person, I play a lot of command and conquer 3 tiberium wars, kanes wrath and red alert 3, I also did play some FPS like CoD, for the most part Command and conquer and warcraft 3 frozen throne

I have so many house in Red Alert 2 and the expansion Yuri's Revenge, it's my favourite RTS.

Also I played a ton of Age of Empires and Age of Mythology when I was younger.

Don't remind me. The part where you're getting the Circle of Water everytime in party chat she's all 'Hey hero remember when we went GHOST HUNTING and killed the GHOSTS and did the HUNTING and CHILDHOOD DAYS and GHOST HUNTING?'

If I were to play the game again I'd probably pick Debora.

Also thanks for the advice on DQIV, some parts of the game really interested me like Torneko's Chapter, but I think it hasn't aged as well as V and comes off as just your average fantasy JRPG of old.

DQVIII seems really good, too bad I could never get a PS2 emulator to work.

What are your thoughts on Shin Megami Tensei and Persona? I never really got into the Persona series, but I do like the Devil Survivor games. They have great stories and characters.

I might try Wizard101, whatever it is. I'm also thinking of trying out Cave Story or Terraria.

I would do Wizard101 but the 'Wizard101 cool mom' commercials repel me from it.

If you like DS, then you should defintely like the other SMT games. They go hand in hand.

i liked the gamecube games and i tryed animle crossing : the awsomes : it has holloween and chiristmas and ur birthday badness: reseti can take ur face and yells at u the animles at holloween take ur clothes if u dont give them candy it aounds weird right?

I haven't played any Persona games but I tried Devil Survivor, the setting and story is kind of like The World Ends With You. I played through the first few bosses but kinda lost interest, but apparently it has lots of choices and endings and I can see why people like it.

Terraria really hit its peak after that patch which added a bunch of stuff like hardmode, that was when there were tons of /v/ threads and active servers. Unfortunately it's died down since then, so you probably won't have as much fun with it today as other people and I did back then.
For a 2D Minecraft clone it certainly has more depth than Minecraft, tons more weapons and playstyles.

Cave Story is AMAZING try it NOW, you WILL NOT REGRET IT
Also, a helpful tip: there is one missable good ending, you WILL miss it on a blind playthrough since you need to know exactly what to do to get it. If you don't think you'll end up playing the game twice for the good ending, look it up without spoiling too much for yourself.

Also, don't trade in your initial weapon (Polar Star) for anything offered by other characters. If you turn down the first two opportunities, you can upgrade it to the best weapon in the game later.

I agree. A bit like smash bro brawl. Those jokes are terrible but 1 of 2 are funny
