Hello my fellow map makers, today I will show you how to teleport using grounds, I will show you both basic and advanced teleportation. I am making this due to lack of teleportation maps. Basic Style First select a ground, you can find your selector here (it has the white dot) ![]() Next, the steps taken, in the selector Step One! Duplicate your ground, there should now be two now. Step Two Take your two grounds and put them on either the same Y or X axis. Step Three Now focus on something called Restitution you can find it once you select a ground, the menu of data will be on the lower right and will look something like so. ![]() Step Four Take both Restitution's and make them equal 9999. Your basic style teleporter should look something like this! X Axis Teleporter a dit : Y Axis Teleporter a dit : You can find these kinds of teleportations in maps such as @2618582 @2858383 and @2952221 What's happening? What is the reasons as to why I am teleporting? It all deals with speed multiples, you hit the bottom ground (or left or right) and when that ground has 9999 restitution you will then come off of it at that speed, you then hit the top or next ground and you come of of that ground with the speed multiplied by the one you started off on, in this case 9999 multiplied by 9999, then you hit the next ground (or the one you started off with from basic meathod) and you bounce off that one, now it is 9999 multiplied by 9999 multiplied by 9999, or 9999 to the third power. You are now traveling so fast, that whatever you hit if it has the same rotation as the last ground, you will come to a dead stop on no matter the restitution. This takes us to using what we now know, to advanced teleportation. Advanced Style! With advanced style, you will be focusing on Restitution Angles and Ground Rotation. Step One! Duplicate a flat, long ground 4 times. Nothing more. • Ground One This is your starter ground, you will launch from this ground, to your destination. Make restitution 9999. • Ground Two This is where things get complicated, if you failed basics, do not expect to understand this next part. This ground needs to be at a angle so you can travel to another X-Y axis, you will bounce off this ground if it has restitution 9999 at a MIRROR angle. This means if you go in at 45 degrees you go out at 45 degrees. You can find rotation for the grounds here in the ground selection menu. ![]() • Ground Three Ground three is your destination ground, it will take you to where you want to go. Make it's restitution 9999. make sure the mirror angle from ground two hits it. You will now be traveling so fast, you will go in the angle that the ground was in. • Ground Four This is your destination, it must be at the same angle as ground three and must be lined up with ground three. Meaning if ground three is rotation 36, ground four must be rotation 36. You will come to a dead stop on this ground. If you did everything correctly, it should look something like this! Advanced Style a dit : You can find these kinds of teleportations in maps such as @2784715 @3368265 and @3378350. I hoped you liked my tutorial! I even took extra time to spell check it and more! a dit : You dont need to go the extra mile making sure everything is aligned and exactly the same angle. All you need are the two grounds that equal 90. |

(Sorry for double posting.) The new update did something with restitution, completely breaking teleportation, now, it seems like there is a 'max speed' you can go. 25 degree angle seems to bounce you off at 90 degrees, so the best I could get it to work is this: a dit : Sad that its not as pretty anymore. |
