The only moderation I think people should have over their own thread is the ability to change the title. Everything else seems a bit out there.

Sentinels have been specifically told by the admins that we are not allowed to lock threads on request unless they're a fanart/map/tribe showcase thread. Maybe this could be enabled in Map Editor, Tribes and Fanarts.

In general, I'm not a fan of the idea of giving users moderation tools on the public forums. I know the situation on RO is pretty ugly, but giving power to some of the people who are making it ugly sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Sentinels from other communities try to check RO whenever we can; if you could write your report reason in English, then that makes it much easier for us to deal with the report :D

I can't think of any forum that allows you to actually delete your own topic. Posts, yes (but this wasn't allowed even on vBulletin). Locking, yes some phpBB forums allow this; but they're usually only allowed in cases like...an art thread.
