The Map Crew is a dedicated team of map-makers, whose purpose is to control the overall quality of maps and most importantly, to give feedback to the rest of the map-making community! Members of the map crew have the ability to protect maps as well as delete bad maps and change maps to tribe houses. They also have a private subforum solely for discussing maps and anything map-related! They have two main duties; they are largely responsible for the map rotation and they can provide you with feedback on maps you made. No, not unless they have been given said rights by the bot-makers. The map crew deals mainly with maps in rotation. If you want your maps to be played in mini-game rooms like baffbot, shaman, etc, it is recommended that you submit your maps to their corresponding threads instead. How can I get my maps permed? Submit them in the appropriate thread. Make sure you understand the rules stated in the first post. Shouldn't the room mapcrew, and mapcrew1 be included in the two posts somewhere? It is a nice room to get some maps permed when there is a mapcrew member there. |

Vannese a dit : A few map crew members decided that they would test maps for the public there a few days ago and it went from there, but those rooms aren't really official or anything and not every map crew member use them. Depending on how many members will actively go there though it could be something done on a regular basis, but at this stage we'd rather not advertise the rooms openly when there's no one there most of the time. It's not a bad idea though. ^^ |

I think I have a 2 good vampire maps, the first one has alot of art in it, but is still very good and easy to navigate. The second map is mostly gameplay, like the current vampire maps. Can I add my map into the rotation currently by a mapcrew member? |

Hidudelol a dit : That's the only way to do it right now,sumbitting your map to mapcrew,/c Cfmbot mapcrew ,though it's up to the individual whether or not they feel comfortable evaluating vampire maps. |

a dit : Map crew seems to overlook this. I've had to heavily modify my art maps to get them considered and have more HQ art maps that are still P1. My alignment is pixel-perfect and flawless with geometric precision first then visual precision to finish it off. Unlike most P5 maps, I also include cel-shading to drastically improve the quality of my art. Not to mention how much I modify the grounds involved to create as much of a twist/challenge as possible. Yet gameplay seems to hold priority over art in the ART category... or at least from the feedback I've received. |

I've played these maps many times in regular rooms. It's not fun when lags hinder the gameplay or when a mechanism doesn't work well as intended. @1998819 and @1646889 - Lags begin and continue throughout the whole map. It's annoying for both shaman and mice to build/get cheese. @491590 Gameplay is very similar @549675. It's hard to get on the high dynamic ramps and walljump back to the hole. Most mice end up dying. @434768 and @1980188 - Most of the time, only one or two lucky mice can bounce up and get cheese. Shamans always have to build like in other ordinary maps. |

Mikekungpd a dit : I'm not sure how many map crew members currently use it or how often it gets checked, but yes you can use that. Fxie a dit : Art has always been a bit of an issue with finding suitable maps, everyone's opinion of what is great art varies wildly. Most art maps that come up for voting within the map crew tend to always have split opinions on the art; it's either great or it's horrible. Same thing happens with the public though, rarely do we get feedback on art maps that are prominantly one sided. The lines between what's average art and great art are kinda blurred. Same goes with the gameplay, there's huge debate over what's acceptable in comparision to the art and what isn't. As you probably know, making detailed quality art takes up a lot of grounds which restricts what you can do from there on. Most people have to resort to some sort of walljumping over the art variant, which everyone agrees isn't too fun played over and over again. We tried having art with this simple sort of gameplay in rotation right at the beginning (Do you remember the jigglypuff and the mouse thinking of a bear maps?) and all we seemed to get was complaints and hate from having to do the same thing on those maps. It's kind of a 'Damned if you do, damned if you don't' situation. ^^' We do seem as a whole to be a bit more open to the art aspect now, so hopefully we can start putting in some more maps now. |

Fxie a dit : I've definitely seen this too O.O not that ALL of my art maps are perfect, but i've definitely had to adjust more to the gameplay part of mapmaking to even have close to an acceptable map. |
