Well, this thread is for beginners that don't know how the report system works and maybe to answer some questions about 'The Report system'.

What is the report system?

The report system is a way to report players who don't follow the rules.
To report a player, you must click on his name. If you click on his name you will get this



The last option is 'Report' if you click on it you will get this



There are a few options:
-Hack: If you see a player is hacking/cheating in your room, you must click on 'Hack'.
-Spam/Flood: If you a player spamming in your room, you must click on 'Spam/Flood'.
-Insults: Racial, homophobic, religious, or any other discrimination is not tolerated, if you see a player is insulting someone/you, you must click on 'Insults'.
-Phishing: If a player is asking you or somebody else for your/his password, you must click on 'Phising'.
-Other: Everything what is not similar to the 4 options. Examples: Inappropriate names, inappropriate totems and inappropriate links (Like links for 18+ sites) if you see that you must click on 'Other'.
-Comment: You must choose an option above and PLEASE try to explain your report with the option comment because it helps mods sort out reports for severity. Example: Mods would give priority for a racism report over someone calling people shit shamans, so in this case choose the option Insults, and the comment would be Racism, he/she's calling people shit shamans (Also quote the offender if you choose the option 'Insults').

If you choose an option above and put a comment by your report (Optionally) you must click on Submit.

If you reported a player it will come by a Moderator (If more than 2 people reported that player) and they will look at it and take care of it. If there aren't EN mods online you must still report, because mods from other servers or arbs (Secret mods) will also look at it.

What's the difference between report and voteban

Like the most people already know you can voteban someone out the room. You can do this by typing in the chat '/ban nameofthemouseyouwanttovoteban' if 8 players do that the person can't go in the room for an hour.
By votebanning someone the player will only banned out of the room for an hour so if he's hacking he may go to another room and hack again a moderator will NOT get a message of this and will not know that someone is hacking so just report!
So only voteban someone if you don't like what he's doing like trolling and favoritism.

What not to report for

You can only report players who are breaking the rules. It's not the case that you're gonna report someone because you don't like his look or you think he's noob. Trolling is not against the rules it's a part of the game, moderators will not give punishments for trolling. Also don't report for favoritism if a shaman is giving a player a balloon so he can get first you must not report the shaman for that if you don't like it you must voteban him/her.

A few tips

-The more the players that report, the faster the mod would look into the report.
-If a player is hacking/cheating and you report him don't say in the room PEOPLE REPORT THAT HACKER FAST SO A MOD CAN BAN HIM, if you do that the hacker will most likely go away before a mod can look at it.

Reporting is briefly covered in the Staff FAQ but it's long overdue to have a more in depth look at how to report people and what for, thanks for this thread, I know I'll be linking some people to it!

It was but it changed if memory serves me right. Since the original text came from an NL mod I'll assume it's legit. :P

Some people think it's 10 some people think it's 5 but the most people think it's 7 so I did 7 I will ask it to a staff member.

To be honest though it's classified information, a mod won't tell you. Last I had known it was six (after some testing) but the system changes so much.

i'd say atleast get 7 mice to voteban
though i always thought it was 5 mice from the past times i used /bun
im pretty sure 10 mice is kinda extreme, i'd say you'd get 6 if your friends, vote on you, and see how much it takes for you to get /bunned

I've heard that some hackers can make it so when you report them it actually reports you.
Is this possible??
