This idea is really basic and probably suggested many times before. However, I could not find it on the suggestion list.

Anyone with a less than great connection has experienced being disconnected before. You get confronted with a purple screen with the text "The connection to the server has been interrupted :'(" or one of it's many translations.

Most people don't get disconnected on purpose and as such would want to log back in again as soon as possible. However, there is no user-friendly way of doing this. You can either refresh the website or (on the official standalone) close the standalone and open it again.

The solution here is very simple: add a button to the otherwise useless warning message. This should be really simple to implement as well, considering how you do get a nice button (for copying your map XML) when you disconnect while in the map editor.

There are at least two ways to go about it. It would probably be easier to implement to have a button that redirects you to the log in screen. However, it would be more user-friendly to have a reconnect button - like the forums.

Yes please, yesyesyes, it would be so much more convenient than having to close/reopen the standalone or refreshing the page, and shouldn't be hard to do. You have my support.

Having a one-click button to log back in is a bad idea, if the servers actually do go down, and its not just an internet problem, people will keep trying to spam the button to get back in, and have the servers stress even more. But going back to the login screen would be fine.

If the servers are down, how will it stress the servers if you try to reconnect? It won't be able ot.

the standalone i normally use has a refresh function, but it's broken (cry) and i have shitty internet, so i have to close and reopen the official standalone.

ah yes, forgot about that! But obviously the idea is meant for any sort of involuntary disconnecting ;-) So that should include idling out.

More than likely, if they click the Reconnect button, it'll reload to the front page but show the maintenence sign. c:
