[Forums - Fanarts] Change in rules: Limit amount of requests per user

So there's a rule in place where if a user requests in a gallery or a thread that's obviously closed, their post is moderated. That's great. However that still doesn't prevent "request hoppers" - users who hop from artist to artist to artist asking for art. It's highly disrespectfu to others who are working on artwork. A forum I used to frequent had a graphics board with a rule saying you could only request from three people at a time. I think a similiar rule should be implemented here. You would only be able to request from three users as a time, then once they finish up, you can request again. If they use alts to get around the rule, they should be warned; since it's a form of evasion/breaking the rules. If you don't support this, I would like a LOGICAL REASON FOR YOU NOT TO. *NOT* just "I wouldn't like it."

I like this. A lot. Fanarts should be a place where mice can travel to enjoy the sights of numerous talented artists across Transformice, whilst enjoying a request or two at a time. However, it should not turn into a place where mice only go just to request from every visible thread or every visible request thread. I would love people to appreciate the art more and not just go to get their own gain from it.

\\gurgles in harmony. Support but wouldn't the request hoppers still do it anyways? They don't bother reading anything in the front place.

They can have their posts removed just as the users who spam closed threads/galleries.

[Modéré par Takumisyn, raison : The topic creator is requesting you have a reason for not supporting.]

If you're not going to provide a proper reason for not supporting, don't even post; thanks.

sometimes people become afk all of a sudden or their drawing utensil breaks etc...and then you have your requests all filled up and a new one opens. How would you take your request back if you just don't want it anymore and you know that person isn't coming back(i know people who make a thread and just don't come back to it) would we have like an ability to delete the request?

Of course, you have an edit button for a reason.

/support it seems a bit difficult to know how many times a user has requested and it is not finished but i guess the sents could find a way... also will art trades count

No, since the artist will receive some kind of compensation. And I'm sure a few eagle-eyed users will keep count, in a similar way as said users keep an eye out for requesters in galleries.

ok so I was thinking about this and I thought some people might request from 3 users and see that their list is full so they delete 1 or 2 yet the users they delete their request from doesn't know and still draws them anyways...wouldn't that be unfair, how would you prevent that

You're really overthinking this and to be honest I have no idea what you're saying. Can you try to explain a little clearer?

Yea i overthink a lot when I'm bored lol. What I'm saying is that if a person deletes their request from an artist because their list was full but that artist doesn't know that he/she did that and goes ahead and draws them, that would be unfair.

If they edited their post it means the intention was there and if the artist draws them, that's their own doing and shouldn't be punishable. But I seriously don't see that happening if you edit your post quick enough.

I would like to add to your suggestion Haru, if not sorry. I think when they make alts to request quicker, I think TFM should be able to recognize the IP address of the alt so they probably will be recognized as the person who requested too much.

Sentinels already have the ability to view IPs.

Okay then.
