If you, for some reason, feel uncomfortable about your player status, or you just don't want others to view your profile,
then you could disable your profile from being viewed!

Go to the wrench (where the "fullscreen, menu, help" area is, you will have a list of options. Click the blank circle to disable your profile from being seen in public. Of course you only have access to your profile.

And you can have three options if you both don't want strangers to view, but if you do want your friends to view. (Thank you Mintyblue for giving me this extra idea!)

•Show to only my friends
•Do not show to anyone

If a person has disabled there profile from being viewed, there would be an error restricting you from viewing the profile.
If you have the urge to see that players profile, just ask them and they would hopefully enable the option.

Note for that this an old suggestion. Thus, I've been unhappy with it for the longest. Anywho, I still appreciate everyones support. Thank yah!

It also helps their Soulmate not getting whispered by some Strangers.

While this has been suggested every now and then well since 2011/2012 (I know it was part of my larger interface suggestion once) it does not currently have a dedicated, well-written thread.

You could consider Topic-189078 to be similar to your idea, but this thread is more detailed, plus that making use of the settings interface makes more sense to me than using a command.

I'm all for all sorts of privacy options, so I guess this is a good idea. While I don't think there is any sensitive information on current TFM profiles, this can also be used to partially mask being online, which to me seems more useful.

If you do this, how will other people check your stats at all when you join a tribe or such, this would case so much anger in those who glance at profiles. Also it would make people seem like guest accounts which can't be seen by profile. +0

Then ask that person. Y'know some people want privacy on there stuff. Even their stats.

Yes, i could see that but it would be too much effort rather than just clicking on a name and glancing at the profile. Things were made like this for a reason you know.

Okay i see your point, but i think it should be more of, you can block a person from your profile, just like putting them on the blacklist for ignoring. Blocking everyone out is kindof rash, if you understand.
