Writing this in English as the Dutch suggestions section isn't the most active. The filter in its current form is geared towards helping the EN community and although it does filter various words, it also lacks some.

Meanwhile, some of the words that are offensive in English are vital in other languages. For the Dutch community, this goes for the word "hoe". It's our translation of "how" and has been blocked ever since the filter was introduced. Asking another Dutchie "How are you?" in Dutch is impossible and I believe this should be changed asap.

I've already written about this over at IRC and I was told that Sydoline pushes for this every day. Yet this message was weeks ago and nothing happened. This whouldn't bother me if it weren't for Tig himself to remove "fuck" from the list some time ago. This word is far more offensive and I believe it should be put back on the list regardless of his own swearing preferences.

I don't know about the other languages, but I'm sure the filter would be more functional if it was to be community specific; filtering Spanish swear words in ES, Portuguese in BR, Polish in PL etc. etc.

If anyone out there knows other words that should be filtered in EN but cause broken conversations in other language, I'd like to hear about it. However, please do not use this thread to spam swear words that should be added or removed from the filter.

Support its very irritating that people can say cancer (big swearword here on the dutch server) and not hoe (normal word in dutch)

also,the word "falo" that means something like "i talk" are blocked on the chat.
In br,you can't say "falo com você mais tarde."(ill talk to you later) because of this :c idk in where this is a bad word,but anyway,it need to be removed too.
