It would be nice to be able to view how close we are to leveling up for more than a split second after completing a map. I would like to be able to see how close I am to leveling up at any time by clicking the skills button.

Mmm, good point, maybe just a hover over your level in the skills bar and it says "1243xp/3245xp"

It's actually suggested on this thread, Topic-330014. it has some suggestions, including the level progress ;)
