I think the afk timeout for vampire maps should be shorter (Like 15 seconds instead of 30) because they don't vamp afk people, and every time they make a random person vamp before the afk timeout. For example,you could move and then become vamp then people who act afk start moving from the afk pile, they have a guaranteed free ticket from never being vamp. (The afk pile is the people standing there from being afk, it is exactly where the original mouse spawn point(s) are, and afk timeout is how long it takes when you haven't moved yet to die. It is usually 30 seconds) It is a small problem because people don't know this but if you would, you can fix it if you like! People who are afk do actually die after 30 seconds right? If you actually add this then the people who act afk would half to move or die, and anyone participating has a chance of being vamp! E: Also... the afk people are already afk anyways? So why not shorten it for just vampire maps. :3 I'm going to start the list of supporters and non-supports :3 SUPPORTERS (Do /Support) Teserve Lilytenten (Quator? sorry) Lemodile NON-SUPPORTERS (Do /No Support, and please explain why) None so far... I never play survivor so you'll have to confirm that I understood this correctly.. What you're saying is that
And the solution you propose for this is to move the afk-death time to the same time as when vampires are chosen. Correct? |

@above In vampire maps, the vampire is always someone who moves, never someone who isn't moving (afk). The vampire is chosen before the standard afk-die time limit. So some people who don't want to be vampire pretend to be afk until a vampire is chosen, then start moving. I believe it to be a cheap tactic, as using this a dit : as the OP said, and I support this, but I would change the time to ~5 seconds before the vampire is chosen. Though the time of the vampire being chosen seems to vary, it is always after 1:50 (I've seen 40-48)so maybe a 10second afk-die instead of 15? |

Lemodile a dit : I never heard of the last one, and I'm in Survivor a LOT. I don't completely get it either. E: oh, nvm, read post above me. I guess it works. /quartorsupport Dernière modification le 1407953040000 |

I think that it doesn't really matter, because for the most part the people who move don't really care if they are vamp or not.. And the people who don't move don't want to be the FIRST vamp. I can understand not moving and not wanted to be the first vamp because people just die as you vamp them so there isn't really a point. But I don understand what you are saying |

@Lemo
I have double checked and yes, these are all true, tho before 30 seconds I am not so sure if it is random but I have tested and I haven't seen vamp selection after 30 seconds. I am just asking that vampire selection should be after afk people die, like a 5 seconds difference (for example, at 15 seconds afk people die, then after, vampires are selected so that everyone has a chance to be a vamp, you were close. The same time would be weird, sorry. @Jen It gives everyone an equal chance whether or not they do want to in fact, be a vampire, you can't be unfair and pretend to be afk. The point of this whole post is to make vampire selection equal and for afk people to be out of this equation. @Tes The time when afk people die was just a guess but I do see what you are saying, it could be sooner because vamps could be turnt into sooner. But I think that as long as it is before the person gets turned into vamp, it will be ok. But the only thing that may make it kinda weird is if people were typing between that time but eh... they had their time. I hope this all makes sense guys. Dernière modification le 1408059480000 |

Yeah I've played a few rounds of survivor today to check this :-) Learn something new each day. Anyways I guess this does need some sort of change. Yours could work (and as such I support it), but I also thought of an alternative solution. When the map starts, choose a vampire from the entire group of mice (afk's included). If the vampire afk-dies, (and only then), a new vampire is chosen. This vampire must've moved or they wouldn't still be alive. The benefit here is that the afk-die time doesn't have to be shortened, which can cause confusion when players play several different game modes (how long can I be afk for?). |

Generally mice wait about 6 seconds before moving. That way they will be accounted as AFK even when they are not. |

@Lemo That is the most confusing part Lemo, should they die at 15 seconds or 30, personally, for that alternate solution I would think they would die at 30 and vamps were chosen at 20 then if the person chosen died, the clock was added 10 seconds and it chose another person. (OH YEAH, also everyone in the afk pile would be back to a mice, if the vampire died... forgot that logic) If they chose it not from the afk pile or they moved away from the afk pile after being chosen/they did not die the time wouldn't be altered but it wouldn't matter if afk people died or not. Creative thinking, Lemo! Never thought of it that way. Now the part when it should be shortened or not... not too sure the alternate would be way more confusing but it would be worth it in game for no one to be confused! Would I think I should reset the supporter list and put supporters for alt and supporters for original? (You may only choose one) @Lord Wait so you are saying they would only half to not move 6 seconds and they already got a free ticket from being chose vamp? ._. If so, the creators really messed up the vampire afk thing, would you think it was just a coincidence? Even if so, it would be needed to be fixed EVEN MORE, wouldn't you think? @Lemon It doesn't work that way. If you move at all before the vamp is chosen you are in the pool to be chosen as the first vampire (besides a few glitches/exploits some people use, but they aren't well known) |
