Improving the Like System

Alright so I'm gonna get straight to it. There are pros and cons of using a reputation system, but the way it's being used right now isn't the best.

Liking System should change:

Dislikes should be removed (as it does nothing, but promote trolling) This was implemented! Hooray!

Remove from every section EXCEPT for Forum Suggestions/Game Suggestions/Announcements/Reactions/Bug Reports

Remove title system (useless and makes no sense I'd only support this if it was for post count not including off-topic posts)

*IF they're not gonna remove dislike at least let us change our 'vote' currently we can't retract or change

New* How do yall feel about having a max like limit? X every hour or X every day if they refuse to remove the dislike/like feature throughout the forum then there should be some sort of restriction to prevent trolling etc..

New* What if the likes/dislikes system is only allowed for OP's?

New* Make farming reputation punishable by getting likes reset / warning (maybe)?

New* Make it so you can't like/dislike posts unless you've played x amount of time in-game (like they do for posts)?

Liking should just be used for useful purposes like gauging the communities interest/support in suggestions! As it currently is now people are just abusing the rep system (liking mediocre posts/game posts, disliking for no reason), popularity contest (who can get the most likes/titles), profile pages look hideous.

tl;dr Allowing only "likes" in suggestion threads / remove everything else0^

Yeah I'm gonna re-edit my post when people suggest other ways to improve the system ! ^-^ Cause I doubt it's going to go away like Jordynl said in the Announcement thread

I'm iffy on this because admins haven't even made us a notification in the first place. If we did get that and say we got a like every minute it'd be so crazy cluttered~ maybe if we had toggles/option settings for like

Notify me once I've recieved x amount of likes for the day

I don't agree with the post-counting titles. It would promove spamming (a thing that already happens since they put the post count in the first place).

A like that gives you a point and a dislike that doesn't do anything? Basically it's only likes. I don't see how serious is this.

Imagine a person said "you all are awesome" in a post. Then he gets tonnes of likes.

Then he edited the post to " you all are retards ".
Even though it is just an example,

I agree this is a horrible scenario, but, is this a reason to remove the feature, or to improve on it some way so that this cannot happen? Say a warning explaining that (other than tribe, fanart and game threads) in order to edit your thread, it will lose a fraction or half of it's upvotes, depending on how much you edit/add/remove (so that if they are only fixing spelling errors, it shouldn't count against them). As aforementioned, I honestly believe it's too early to form these opinion since it had literally just come out.

Liking without disliking has no sense. In my opinion, this system should also be available in Discussion section. And YES, titles definitely should be removed, a couple of hour from entering this system, quite a lot of people have already 1k prestigue points - it's lottery, who's better than the others.

I think removing dislikes, when they would be in those two sections only, doesn't really make sense. I mean, without it it's kinda useless. For example, 20 people can agree with something, but there can be still 35 who don't.
I only support the idea that it would be in announcements, nowhere else. Suggestions doesn't need that kind of feature when we already can just make polls.

Well I was implying to remove dislikes & likes from every other section except those ones that way people can easily gauge their support or nonsupport of it.

I must disagree with you on the part where you state suggestions doesn't need it since there are polls - well some people and most suggestions don't need polls + some people prefer to just upvote or downvote something rather than stating "support or no support" and overall makes it easier for devs/admins to determine if a suggest is generally liked/implemented by just looking at the likes/dislikes.
