A chibi doesnt have to be "cute", nor does it have to be human. Chibi humans are deformed humans, with an abnormally large head and small body. Humans drawn 2-4 heads tall are usually considered chibis, 5+ heads tall are normal humans. (although babies are 3-4 heads tall, chibis are drawn usually with adult features. Mini chibis or baby chibis are about 2 heads tall.) Animal chibis are just like human chibis. Abnormally lage head and small body. This doesn't mean chibis cant be human or "cute."
