Dis might be actually. So it's not that they are not allowed then, but more like the avatar system is tied with the game that doesn't like .gifs or some other silly reason.

That's true, it depends on the server's ability to contain files.

How about .GIF avatars won't be displayed and normal avatars will be displayed?

We could choose a photo to replace the avatar on our profil if its .gif.

Flash can handle .gifs, it just displays the first frame and not animations. There are easy workarounds to get animated .gifs to work in Flash anyway, would be nice if Tig could implement one :(

I was thinking the exact same.

But like I said before I doubt they will work just for .gifs :c

Maybe they could hire ppl to help fix bugs on the new forums and stuff and fix the .gif problems and such.

We never had .gif icons even on vBulletin so. They just take up too much space and there's no need to have one anyway.

No. Not at all. If tig 'codes' it right it would only lagg on 1989 computers.

I know the word 'code' wouldn't really be the right thing to say but I can't really think of anything else to discribe it.
