...truthfully.. for me, it only takes a few minutes.. hah...

Lineart only takes about 10 minutes for me on paper, usually because I add a lot of details and what not. Colouring takes a while though.

It takes me less then half an hour usually but its never as awesome as everyone elses :U

Takes less than 30 minutes and half of the time is sketching, but they look awful.

hm..takes a few minutes for a basic sketch.
takes an hour-a week because i get lazy and i hate colouring the whole thing for a somewhat detailed doodle.
most of my traditional doodles are black and white because i hate trying to match the colours. ; ;
and i rarely draw digitally anymore. e-e

o.o am i the only one who takes forever (like 30 mins) to get the lineart? and then like 1-2 hours coloring? o.o

i think i take longest on lineart as well
cos if you've ever seen my art.. i hate coloring in the lines :P

XD yeah lol.. all i do if in coloring and i like make the lineart look awkward i just retrace :P that is the only thing that doesn't take me forever to do XD and coloring in the lines well owo I am kinda ocdish in that way.. I have to color in the lines otherwise i o.o well for me i cant color outside the lines even tho i like styles that do >:V

i always put my shading and crap in the same layer cos laziness
o and i follow tutorials for my hair/eyes but i don't do all the steps because they require like 300 layers

I prefer not using layers because the result looks cool.
But layers is more clean.

I usually end up with about 20 layers. I use one for lineart, one for colouring, one for shading, one for a background, etc.

I want to try using layers on gimp but I don't know how ._.*

most amount of layers i used in a drawing is probably 11 or something

layer 1 is usually sketches, then i overlap that with layer 2/linework layer 1
then i just have 1 or 2 layers for colouring/shading/other stuff
usually, in my finished drawings, i have about 4-6 layers
