Quentin a dit : Most of my comments are going to be similar to Fxie's, but alright. a dit : I beg to differ. Yes they're similar, but having the holes at each top corner gives different opportunities for the shaman. Big open maps like this and map 90 give a lot of freedom for more obscure and elaborate builds to be done, and some shamans appreciate that. a dit : The beauty of this map is that you have a choice of going over or under. If you're finding using the same plank solution you've been doing before is boring then try doing something different, the map has the opportunity for you to do so. As far as difficulty goes, not every shaman map is intended to provide as difficult a challenge as possible. Newer shaman's can find building over or under problematic at first, so this can be an adequate challenge for them to familiarise themselves with getting there. If you're finding hard mode more suitable to your skill level then use it, simple as that. a dit : It can be made soloable with two planks, not everyone can walljump with cheese. Even still, you'd be surprised at how many people find this challenging. a dit : You must either be having bad luck or aren't shamaning this properly, because 90% would imply 2 saves out of a room of 20. See Fxie's reply. a dit : @185090 perhaps is a bit of a buildathon, but it's well layed out. What I don't understand is if @577692 is too easy for you then wouldn't this be more of a suitable challenge? Again, see Fxie's reply Re: impossible for hard mod sham. a dit : The main focus with art maps is, well, the art. The gameplay is usually put at the back of the priorities simply because the nature of art isn't meant to be practical for a mouse game's physics. Personally I feel these maps have done a great job creating their scene around the game (The one exception i'd say would be Conjurist's, I'm not too fond of it frankly =/ However the lava is possible to solo) I don't know how you feel the art on Hamyu's map is pointless since there's no collision with mice with it, this is the art category after all. Regarding Bombzero's map, I guess it could be a bit annoying getting so far and not being able to fully solo it, but the tradeoff is that there's more gameplay for the shaman to do. a dit : A lot of mechanism maps don't need the shaman, however if we moved every map that didn't need a shaman to P7 then the mechanism category would be empty. We did suggest that there be a mechanism with no shaman cycle that could share the same spot as P6 in the rotation, but i'm sure it's pretty low on the priorities list of the admins. Temple's map isn't impossible to sham on hard mode either. a dit : What's stopping anyone from using the tramps instead of walljumping? a dit : You could argue the same for most vanilla maps too, in the end if people want to use it it's up to them. This is presuming that the mice can comply with your spiriting, which never seems to work well anyway. a dit : All soulmate maps rely on your partner's cooperation, if there wasn't a level of dependability on them then soulmate maps would be pointless. It sucks when you get an afk or hopeless partner, I know, but it's not really the maps fault. a dit : I agree with Fxie's reply 100%, while this isn't something revolutionary you can use the gradual height and corners to slingshot you and your partner beyond everyone else. Perhaps it will get repeatitive in time and if so it can be removed, but for now it's still got spark. a dit : It seems impractical to remove this (and all water maps infact) simply because it can be abused by a minority, but hmmm maybe it should be removed for now. a dit : All I can say is try harder. =) It's very much doable for the sham. |

Hardmode solution (No red nail used): ![]() Personally, I thought this map was easy. Haha, but if you think it's a challenge, then I guess I'd say "Mission complete"? :D It feels a little weird to criticize my own map, but I didn't expect this to be P5'd either. |

Xessus a dit : I thought the concept behind @2319756 seemed too simple to not have been done. Perhaps CFM records could prove whether this is really a case of a copy-cat map or just an old map edited some time later when it's back online. Gameplay in @1935133 is much more fluid I must say. |
