It's still the same game, just a different look; and there's ways around it. But if you want to quit over a UI be my guest.

but the extended chat should be made wooden too
and those leaves in the left corner might hide a ground, and i expect many troll maps using this

I was pretty OCD with some of the unaligned buttons so i decided to correct it myself for my own satisfaction, but i went on further to do some color corrections.
I have changed the wood color in a way that the saturation (it was not contrast silly me) it was not higher than the background.
I don't expect the admins to do it, but if they ever planned to, i was just thinking this can be a small reference for the color correction.

I'd be ok if they did the suggested color correction and changed the text back to the old text on the leaderboard. That is really pretty, those colors look nice.

To be fair, all the text in your changed version is much harder to read than in the current online version.

The admins need to make the whole thing match. Channels and buttons still have the old UI look. I think it's creative the admins are trying to make the game more interactive than a dull blue-black-green-whatever interface, although I did personally prefer the older one. Maybe in the Options, they can let us choose between which one we want to use?

Yeah those look like whisper colors to me and I would say that whispers are probably the worst text colors against the new interface. Bright orange over brown is not good.

I prefer the old one. An option to switch back, maybe?

I get light-induced migraines and I actually can't play this game for longer than a few minutes now for fear of the sheer brightness triggering a migraine. I'm really not kidding. Unless there's an option to switch to an interface that is visually easier to handle, I don't think I'll play again.

I kinda like the new look.But the chat/tribe/cheeeseee colors just dont work with the new style! maybe a bit brownish tone to it?

i like the new chat, not sure why everyone is so upset. it's just change.

it's a lot easier for me to read on it, and it's pretty cute. it was a great idea for the admins to change it before new players came from steam ( this way the newcomers wouldn't become used to one chat, then be upset when it changed).

Yeah I don't mind it too much, the first time I saw it I was a bit shocked or whatever, but I'm used to it now

i've asked meli a question concerning the ui on her blog, but i have yet an answer.

the admins said that the new ui was an update in spirit of the steam release, but i can't possibly find how this might be attractive to first-time players. you find this cute game on steam and it looks pretty cool and really fun, you make an account and you haven't even played the game directly and what hits you first? the blinding ui. some players have said before that players will get use to this contrast, but problems with the game and you havent even completed the tutorial? players looking for a good game would skim over one that is already causing them a hassle so early. and then, when you really get into the game, there are a ton of bugs, including ui-related, some listed here, but this ui was so rushed -- most of the problems in the linked post still have not been fixed and the steam release is in less than a day. a801 should be concerned about bugs on the browser transformice and the implements that they should currently be working on -- like the new skill tree mentioned how long ago? oh yeah. nine fucking months ago. quality over quantity -- maybe a801 should start working on their two other games instead of just getting more players.

i could go on about how rushed this update was and how displeasing this is to new members, but really, i think i'm wasting my time here -- our pleas have only been answered by the slightest interface changes.
