In the official announcement it was told that the summer event will end on 2nd of September but the Olympics itself starts on 5th of August and ends on August 21th. So, logically, the provisional date of ending of passing event is not right and the Olympics event will be started this friday actually.
On the other hand it can be only clothing update without any new event maps like it was during the Music Day last year...

I don't think this banner is related to a new adventure. I guess this is just some items adding related to the Olympics.
Moreover Melibellule has specified that the map in background is just... a background for the banner! It will not come back ingame.

The background is from last years Back To School Event... What are you on about?

The background from that map fit best for the new items. But to prevent confusion, Meli said that it's not coming back.

hax.. jk. My technique is to not use the waters and ferts on tomatoes, berries, grapes and lemons. I let them grow by themselves. I only use ferts and water on random seeds. If it's a flower thingy, then I can immediately harvest it, and buy a tomato out of it :P If it's anything else, I just wait for event maps to pass and let them grow.

Idk if this is the fastest method, but it works for me and I get at least 1 lemon a day (and 1 planted).
