I don't think it's that much of an issue if someone who actually knows what they're doing helps. It's people who throw 100x139 px icons saved in .jpg that are the issue.

Which really, I hate to be snotty but you keep saving your icons in .jpg (with low chroma subsampling too) and it doesn't look good because as is the forum converts them to .jpg and adds some artifacts. Artifacts onto artifacts just look awful.
