| New year, New rules! Howdy folks! Guidelines and Rules / General Forum Guidelines:  1. These are the English forums. Please speak English, and English only. Using a translator, such as Google Translate, is not acceptable if the quality of the translation is poor and therefore makes the post difficult to understand. 2. Always post threads in the correct subforum. If you don’t know where to post something, ask! Any Sentinel or Moderator will be happy to help. 3. Don't bump up threads unnecessarily. If the last reply of a thread is older than two weeks and your post isn't adding something of value, please do not reply. Otherwise, it is considered necrobumping. If you're unsure about whether your post would be considered a necrobump, feel free to contact a Sentinel or Moderator to double check. 4. Don’t double post. Either wait for another person to reply before posting again, or use the edit button at the bottom of your post. If you double post accidentally, please whisper a Sentinel or Moderator or report it to have your post deleted. 3. Don’t (double) post frivolously. You are allowed to double post, but only if you have more to contribute to the thread. You should use the edit feature in situations where you are not adding anything new to the topic. For example, double posting to correct a spelling mistake is not allowed since it doesn't add any new, relevant information to the topic and can be easily remedied by the edit feature. However, if you're double posting to add new, relevant information, such as there being a update with new features on a particular topic, that is fine. If you double post accidentally, please report it to have your post deleted. 5.4. Don’t post duplicate threads. If you do so accidentally, either whisper a Mod or Sentinel or report the thread and it will be locked or deleted. 6.5. Don’t spam the forums. Your posts should add something relevant to the discussion and not be intended to annoy others. Sentinels will remove posts that they classify as “spam”. Additionally, replying to a spam thread unnecessarily is also considered as spam. Please report any spam thread you come across instead of posting in it as you may run the risk of being warned for it. 7.6. Don't spam smilies. Excess smilies look spammy and are unnecessary. Please only use them when they are appropriate. 8.7. Don’t swear excessively While cussing isn’t against the rules, if you do so excessively it could result in punishment. 9.8. No flaming, harassing, or insulting other members. Treat all users of the forum the way you would like to be treated. You should always respect the opinions and remarks of others regardless of whether you agree with them or not. If a comment breaks the forum rules, please report the post rather than to react to it. Bullying, flaming, insulting, derogatory comments and defamation will not be tolerated. Users are meant to feel welcome on these forums, not belittled or intimidated. 10.9. No advertising. Please don't try to recruit people to other games or advertise your own website. While we allow discussions about things that don't relate to Transformice, we don't allow referring people to other games/forums etc, especially if someone is making money from it. 11.10. Don’t post links to anything pornographic, illegal or pirated. Links or images of anything inappropriate is a serious offense; people of all ages browse these forums, so keep that in mind. 12.11. The forums are PG-13. We don’t allow sexually explicit content in ANY form – fanfiction, images, gifs etc. 13.12. If you are banned, do not create a new account. Ban evasion is against the rules. Even if it was only a temporary ban, do not try and access the forums from another account because the consequences will be severe. 14.13. No inappropriate avatars. Please remember this is a PG-13 forum and therefore your avatar should reflect this. If are you unsure whether your avatar would be acceptable, feel free to PM a Sentinel to check. If you did not create the avatar yourself, please ensure you have the permission of the author to use it. Only the artist can report an avatar for being used without permission. 15.14. Please try not to act like a Sentinel ("Backseat-moderating"). If you think a thread or post needs moderation, please contact a Sentinel via one of the ways listed on the Staff FAQ (link). While we appreciate when you are being helpful to others, criticising a particular user's behaviour and giving instructions as a forum moderator would is unnecessary and can be classed spam. Therefore, posts like "This thread needs locking." are not allowed and will most likely result in a mute. 16.15. Do not create a group/thread if a similar one already exists. If somebody has already created a thread about a topic or for a new group, please don't make another one; we don't need multiple threads about what effectively is the same thing. Also, don't make unorganized groups. If you want to start one, make sure it is detailed enough. 17.16. Please obtain Sentinel permission to run a contest before creating a thread. No one likes a contest that's poorly run or fizzles out part way through. To make sure this doesn't happen, we ask that you please ask a Sentinel for permission to run a contest beforehand so that we know that you have adequate preparation. Poorly made contests or ones without permission may get locked. 18.17. Moderators and Sentinels will deal with situations in the way they believe is appropriate. Even if the situation is not addressed in the rules, Moderators and Sentinels are allowed to do what they believe is the best solution to the conflict, issue, or disruption. If you do not believe a situation was not resolved correctly, please contact a Moderator or Sentinel and it will be discussed. If you'd like to complain about a Sentinel you should do so using the contact form. Off-topic Information and Guidelines: Welcome to the Off-topic Subforum! This subforum is for discussing topics unrelated to Transformice, Bouboum, Fortoresse or Nekodancer. If you wish to discuss topics or ask questions relating to an Atelier 801 game, please head over to the respective subforum. Here in the Off-Topic subforum, you can find the EN Chat Thread, and various threads discussing an array of topics. Rules and guidelines 1. "Off-topic" does not mean "spam". Threads posted in Off-Topic are still required to have discussion value. Threads that are considered to be lacking discussion value will be locked. The more effort and thought you put into a thread, the better it usually will be! 2. Do not post unless you are contributing to the discussion on hand. Reply to a thread only if you have something to contribute to the discussion; your posts should add something relevant to the topic of the thread. Sentinels will remove your post if they believe it to be spam. 3. ABSOLUTELY NO FANFICTION. 3. No fanfiction. Fanfiction belongs in the Fanart forum. Please do not post them here. 4. No threads about politics or religion. Threads of this nature usually end up in flame wars and drama, so please refrain from making them. 5. No 'x or y' threads. 'X or Y' threads have little discussion value and often end up being full of one word posts. Threads in Off Topic are supposed to promote discussion. 6. No roleplaying. Please don't make threads intended for roleplaying. The forums are not the place to be roleplaying. There are plenty of places on the internet where you can roleplay instead. 7. Do not plagiarize from other sources. Please do not copy/paste content from sources (such as Wikipedia) into a thread of your own. Threads like this don't take a lot of effort and look bad for the forum. You are allowed to add content from sources, but please give credit and ensure that the majority of content in your thread is written by you. (Transformice) Suggestions Information and Guidelines: Welcome to the Suggestions Subforum! This subforum is for suggesting new features you would like to see added into the game. Only ideas which relate to the official game, i.e. not 3rd party services or websites, should be posted here. Before creating a new thread please read the Suggestion List to ensure that it hasn't already been suggested by somebody else. If your suggestion is small and can be described in a few lines then please post it here. If you would like suggest a new item of clothing for the shop, you can post them in this thread. When creating your suggestion, try to make it as descriptive as possible. Also, try to make the title summarize your idea well and ensure you use the appropriate 'prefix'. Including pictures to illustrate your idea can help. The more it catches the imagination of the Transformice staff, the better chance it has of being added! Rules and guidelines 1. Asking for a bug fix is not a suggestion. If you have a bug to report, please post about it in the Bugs subforum, not here. 2. Do not make suggestions that don't relate to Transformice. Only make threads for suggestions directed towards the Transformice game or standalone. Any suggestions about other Atelier 801 games belong in the appropriate threads (Bouboum, Fortoresse, and Nekodancer respectively) while suggestions related to the forum should go here and anything related to modules or minigames should go here. Fan games, fan forums, or any other subjects not directly affiliated with the official Transformice game are not to be discussed; they are made by other people and therefore posting suggestions about them here is pointless. This includes the Shaman Showdown fan game, and the Cheeseformice leaderboards and forums any Transformice fansite. 3. Make your thread titles clear. "Cool suggestion!" is not a good thread title; be more descriptive. As a general rule, if people have to open the thread to find out what your suggestion is, it's not a good thread title. 4. One suggestion per thread. If you have smaller suggestions, please post them here. 5. Don't ask for a new community. There are between 5,000 and 10,000 languages in the world, we don't need a thread for each language. The developers have access to statistics which show what countries/languages are in need of their own community. If the demand is there, they will make one. 6. Check the suggestion list. Before creating your thread, make sure it hasn't been suggested before by checking here. It also includes ideas which we ask you to refrain from posting. 6. You are allowed to discuss previously rejected suggestions. We hope this stirs more conversation and maybe someone will even bring up better points as to why a particular idea should be accepted. However, please first check the Do Not Suggest List to check if your suggestion has been denied by admins. (Note, as a result of this, the Suggestion List: Please read before creating a thread! thread has been removed. Instead, we have the Do not Suggest List, which has been taken from the Suggestions List thread. These are suggestions which have 100% been denied by the admins. Do not suggest these to be added to the game, as they won't happen!) 7. Don't make drastic gameplay change suggestions! The game is about being a mouse on a quest to get cheese and returning to the hole with it. Gameplay suggestions that change the aim of the game completely will be locked as they're not going to happen. Here you can report bugs found whilst using the forum, and suggest new ideas related to the forum. Before posting your suggestion, be sure to check the Forum Suggestion List - somebody else may have already made the same suggestion. When creating your suggestion, try to make it as descriptive as possible. Be sure to make the title an accurate, concise summary of your suggestion. Including pictures to illustrate your idea is recommended, where possible. The more it catches the imagination of the Transformice staff, the better chance it has of being added!
