High Difficulty Maps (6-10): None Accepted Rejected: Shanerulz: @6958166 - The concept is mildly interesting for building, but the design itself is not without flaws. Multiple grounds are used for the shaman cage, and the right side of the map where the hole and mouse spawn is has a bit too much juxtaposition with the anticloud concept in the middle. We’d be willing to reconsider this map once an improvement is in order for next time. Tryhardracer: @6178262 - This map tries to show an interesting concept, but it’s not done in an optimal design because the sheer simplicity makes it look like that everyone is going to use a simple swing solution. The design just makes the map feel so monosolution, and it’s especially bad that this is so similar to @188818. Molotovakola: @6931985 - The concept seems interesting and the spinning ice ground can be used as a tool for making solutions, but because of the map’s design there isn’t much freedom for building. Things feel a little too cramped and the water near the cheese and hole makes it even more frustrating. We recommend the mapmaker to make the map more spacious by removing some grounds. For example, it’s not entirely necessary to have huge walls on opposite sides of the map - they just get in the way of solutions and make life harder for the shaman. Arnees: @6884273 - The concept is pretty interesting and with the edit that gives the shaman more apples, it does make the map more bearable should one drop their apples by mistake. However, nothing else about the map changed and the design is largely the same. It feels a little buildathon-ish to try and solve this map in a reasonable amount of time, so maybe this particular design isn’t the best for this kind of concept. However, it is a fun idea and we urge the mapmaker to poke around with different ground placements. Low Difficulty Maps (1-5): Accepted: Arnees: @6959864 - Difficulty 5 Arnees: @6935033 - Difficulty 3 Rejected: Efendiadarn: @6963896 - Although this map isn’t monosolution at all and it provides a design that spiritual does not yet have for building, it doesn’t change the fact that it limits building possibilities because you’re forced to build either with completely horizontal or vertical planks in the gaps of the clouds. We like that there are two cheeses and thus different thought processes that could go on for the shaman, but that isn’t enough to convince us to add this map. Tryhardracer: @6178452 - We like that this map shows the potential usefulness with the water grounds for zero gravity maps, but all it does is give some ideas for speculated maps. The truth is, you can solve this map with a minimal amount of building, especially since you can solo the hole. This has potential to be fun, but unfortunately this isn’t quite refined to our expectations. Dernière modification le 1517542800000 |

Hey shamans, I’m just letting you know that buildathon maps in spiritual now have a cap of 7 out of 10 on their difficulties. As challenging as the time limit is on those maps, we feel it’s not necessary to assign them very high diffs because it only comes down to building much faster and using techniques you already learned in lower difficulty maps. With that being said, we hope you all enjoy the new changes. High Difficulty Maps (6-10): Accepted: Dukeonkled: @7006865 - Difficulty 8 Rejected: Anthonyjones: @7036715 - The concept this map provides is new and shows a different way of building as shaman, but the design itself doesn’t offer enough ways to be creative. We’d allow this idea if it was done on a better template. Anthonyjones: @7037174 - This map offers a stability challenge while making you solve for cheese, but it doesn’t give you many ways to do it. It feels like a boring swing map that doesn’t offer any sort of innovation to back itself up. Clackprooo: @7007030 - This cage map is challenging for beginners, but all the unused space and symmetry makes this map feel incomplete and lacking. We advise the mapmaker to do this on a different, unique template that uses up enough space. Low Difficulty Maps (1-5): Accepted: Plubio: @6966893 - Difficulty 3 Tryhardracer: @6178452 - Difficulty 4 Tryhardracer: @6178262 - Difficulty 4 Rejected: Mousechris: @6266194 - The mechanism concept behind this map will serve to be useful especially for newer players, but it’s made on a bland design. The gameplay seems balanced enough, but the content itself isn’t fun or striking enough to win a spot in rotation. If the concept is redone on a different design alongside more relevant challenges, this will stand a much better chance at being added. Anthonyjones: @7032176 - This map is solvable by just spamming ghost boxes, and you don’t really need to use anchors at all. If the design was at least asymmetrical this wouldn’t be as bad. Even then, this doesn’t feel like it belongs in spiritual and it just needs a lot of work. We recommend improvements such as removing some of the cloud grounds and implementing challenges that compliment the concept. Clackprooo: @7008900 - Even for a symmetrical map, it’s not so boring to build on and offers some useful content because of the cloud grounds. However, you can just wall-jump to hole because of the wood, so perhaps it should be ice instead. Even if you don’t acknowledge that, the content would be mediocre at best. We encourage the mapmaker to recreate this concept on a more unique and palatable design. Checkpoint! March 2017: Foxehfoxeh: @6696133 - In addition to looking nothing like a map that belongs in spiritual, it is much too cramped for almost any kind of building. The design is arbitrary and nothing about it serves any purpose other than frustrating the shaman. Dernière modification le 1488740100000 |

High Difficulty Maps (6-10): Accepted: Arnees: @7051261 - Difficulty 8 Plubio: @7073610 - Difficulty 7 Foxehfoxeh: @6706788 - Difficulty 8 Anthonyjones: @7032176 - Difficulty 7 Anthonyjones: @7061901 - Difficulty 8 Rejected: Arnees: @7059775 - The concept is interesting, but it’s not reinforced well enough by the design -- especially since the right side of the map is so unlike the left. We recommend keeping the challenge consistent throughout the map for better results. Arnees: @7059891 - This map is unique in a way, but the design doesn’t give an incentive for players to innovative. The use of the background makes this map look a lot easier than it actually is, and the concept itself just doesn’t have that enjoyability we look for in maps. We urge the mapmaker to use a design that accommodates a wider selection of builds than just swings. Molotovakola: @6931985 - The concept is subtle in that you have to be careful not to let the cloud block you from making any additional builds. Nuanced concepts are always a desired trait to have in spiritual maps, but because of how the map is designed, players more or less will be making the same solutions compared to each other. That isn’t to say that this map is monosolution, but we need designs that ensure an ample amount of innovation. This isn’t at all a boring experience either, but we feel like there is still plenty of room for improvement. With that being said, we may give suggestions on how to fix said issues and prepare this for next review. Plubio: @7059327 - This map is very challenging, and its design ensures that players have plenty of opportunities to improvise as well as make well-thought-out builds. However, while you can make plenty of solutions for the cheese, the hole is a different story; pragmatically speaking, there are very few solutions that are even worth making since the area around the hole is so cramped, thus eliminating any potential for innovation there. Plubio: @7060293 - The concept itself is pretty unique and it forces you to be careful on where you make your builds. Unfortunately though, since this is a buildathon, the length of the map can drown out the intended concept -- thus making it less enjoyable than it could be. We suggest altering the design in such a way that you can either make the buildathon more bearable for players, or offer alternatives that are still relevant to the experience. Jingkoh: @7062587 - The abundance of flaws on this map would make it feel way out of place if it was in rotation. First of all, the map forces you to do the same solution twice, but it’s not even considered symmetrical since you can reach one of the dynamic ices with a plank, but not the other. The high gravity is not necessary, and the use of fake ice grounds is undesirable. Restricting b serves no purpose since you’re not going to have any stabilization problems anyway. There are simply way too many problems with this map; a rather large improvement to the design is required if this is going to get in discussion for next review. Foxehfoxeh: @7063319 - A lot of space goes unused here, and there is simply nothing enjoyable for the shaman to get out of this map. The design needs to be redone entirely for it to even remotely be considered a quality shaman map. Foxehfoxeh: @6695342 - In practice, this is quite monosolution and there is little room for any kind of innovation to take place. A lot of space goes unused on the sides of the map, and the design of the cloud grounds is rather unusual for build stabilization. Foxehfoxeh: @6699358 - The shaman can take advantage of their range by building outside of the cloud grounds, thus showing how useless the layout is. Much needed ground rearrangement is necessary in order for the map design to be more coherent. Anthonyjones: @7064132 - The concept is interesting, but the design doesn’t support it for there to be enough innovation. There just isn’t enough space for the shaman to make better solutions other than very few that will be overused. We suggest the design to be reworked in such a way that both sides of the map compliments each other as well as make things more intuitive for shamans. Low Difficulty Maps (1-5): Accepted: Plubio: @7073583 - Difficulty 3 Tryhardracer: @5921806 - Difficulty 2 Tryhardracer: @6347074 - Difficulty 3 Dukeonkled: @7014546 - Difficulty 3 Rejected: Viptoto: @7050878 - You can simply solve this map by spamming ghost boxes, and barely anyone is going to sham any differently because of the cramped design. Lastly, the tramp grounds offscreen are useless and therefore do nothing for the concept. Tryhardracer: @5921816 - All the grounds give rise to some challenge for shamans when building on this map, especially since they have some coherence. However, this type of design isn’t usually the kind you would see in spiritual. To top that off, it’s also pretty linear which makes it harder for players to be unique.
