Look on page 10, Loukno answered this and many other interesting questions!

Also, I believe it costs 100 cheese for the first slot!

Loukno a dit :
Why not make the 1st, 2nd and 3rd slots cheaper, such as 50, 100, and 150 cheese?

The game can’t handle too much players having too many slots activated (more than 2 per player). We had then 2 solutions to solve that memory problem. Either give everyone only and only 2 slots, or balance between players. Many will choose to have 1 to 2 slots, the few others will then be able to have more slots.

That’s why, the 1st slot has been made available to everyone (the game can handle that much) and other slots are available to more involved players who have more cheese and more clothes. In fact, less involved players, I mean players who don’t play a lot or are new to it won’t have the need for 20 slots. This feature was implemented on the request of the most involved players in the game, who are, for a fact, on the forum for the most of them. We didn’t want to give them only 2 slots. We wanted them to have many possibilities as they could.
So we chose to make these slots more accessible to involved players and less accessible to less involved players. 50, 100, 150 cheese is too easily accessible to low involved players.

Same goes with the other aspects of the game. Only really involved players can get 10k titles, bootcamp titles, 4001 cheese hat, or level 100 chaman (which should take 2 years to reach to regular players).

This should answer your questions but she also says other interesting things so take a look!

Shinark a dit :
LUA scriping is risky also if everyone spams cannons then the same result would happen.

I like how certain people associate the idea of cannons/fast anvils with "heavy" and thus "more likely to crash the server". I can see why you say that, since in-game fast objects can crash the client, but just to be precise, the server won't mind that.

It's true that LUA scripts can impact the server's performance, and that's why certain APIs have been disabled for the public. Even within the official Modules programmers team there are certain limitations on the amount of execution time, calls, script size and storage space.

However, database entries (referring to the outfits) are hardly related to the actual server performance, but rather to the layout of the data structure they chose for it; neither I or you know how it has been deployed.

If, upon being given an explanation about their decision, a player disregards the reasons behind it in favor of believing that there were other, more lucrative intentions behind the release of the feature, then I doubt that such player would be convinced without seeing in detail the implementation of the outfit entries, which in my opinion can't happen.

I liked someone's idea of "unlocking" slots upon reaching a certain amount of cheese - A bit like titles. Another option would be unlocking outfit slots upon buying a certain amount of game accessories or spending a certain amount of cheese in-game. I'm afraid that the solution is no longer feasible, since there are undoubtly players who already purchased several outfits and would feel robbed. I still look forward to a response regarding the suggestion.

They put LUA scripting in the game.
LUA scriping is risky also if everyone spams cannons then the same result would happen.
AKA the server will try and process it all and crash i've alrdy noticed i'm getting disconnected and freezing more then before LUA was implemented.
Direct copy paste from my topic the got locked :/

you could chrash your game with a bot if it lagged, so i dont really see how lua is risky. let me show a example (this was about a year-ish ago) (also click for full image)

Well still i'm getting disconnected a lot and no it isn't my connection or on my comp its a server problem.

But i guess since lua remains a privellage to ppl who can load maps it can easily be disabled.

:/ I see i like the idea of 'unlocking' slots also but it also seems that tfm want us to buy fraises for the slots which i think no one will do.

I don't get it. If 5 Fraises is equivelent to 50 cheese why is 10 fraises equivelent to 1000. Doesn't make any sence.

The second slot is 50 fraises the 3rd is 100 the 4th is 250 the 5th is 300...

I think its a pattern like that i'm only sure of the 50 fraises tho.

I haven't actually bought an outfit slot, however, from the earlier posts it seems it requires more and more cheese the more you buy an outfit?

I don't really see a huge problem with this, besides, the admins worked hard on this update, just make the best of it. It's just a game~

Admin response on these ideas would be good. I think they're all great *-*

Bumping... can we get at least some discussion on this...

really disappointed about the pricing...
for the players who collected so many items, spent so many cheese
they still have to pay up so much for slots?
are you calling this fair? sigh... '-'
