Please stop using .jpg with such low chroma subsampling. The forums are only going to compress them more. Use .png.

E - And it's going to ruin that last one because you made it transparent.
Do you even know what you're doing errrr.

Jpg is just as good as any other, if you'd like, you could change it yourself instead of argueing, another reason why I said "will these do".

Now I'm going to have to ask you to stop argueing or you will not be a part of the team, and could possibly get blacklisted, this thread is to be clean of arguements, it is a threads to help people with their avatars, not to give someone a bad time just because you don't agree.

This goes for everyone else.

No, .jpg is NOT as good as any other. Not in the way you are saving it. If you saved it with 100% quality it may be better, otherwise no. You're saving it with default quality which looks horrid.

Let me show you what I'm talking about:

The left image is my previous avatar on the forums, compressed. As you see, there's a lot of .jpg artifacts. On the right is the original file, which as you see is clean for the most part (it wasn't exactly the best of quality and I had to edit it).
If this is what the forum does to a pretty high quality image, imagine what it does to your images? It won't be pretty.

If you want to blacklist me for first POLITELY telling you the way that you are saving the images will turn out bad, and then saying it again when you didn't listen, then so be it. I really don't care and I have more important things to do in my life.

Please also remember that with transparent images, it will turn the background black. That's why you gotta fill it with the forum colour.

But what do I know, I've just been doing graphics for eleven years.

That is a stupid reason for what you just said. She was making a point on the personal opinion she has. If you do not agree, you can make one in JPG., and she can make it in her style. She even said POLITELY.
