Category 1 - @2114944 - Racing for the Cheese! Jump across the Ice as fast as you can! and hopefully you'll choose which way to go, for the win!
Category 2 - @2377090 - Try and make your way through the Airplane propeller and make it safely to the hole with a belly full of cheese.
Category 3 - @2388514 - A Racing Map that is a complicated blend of Ice and Decision-making. Make the Right choice and you might just end up first! As a Bonus a I associated Category 1's Shortcut theme into this as well... If you CJ just right. You got yourself an easy first.
Category 4 - @2371116 - Patience is key! Don't let your eyes trick you into falling for the obvious!

Category 3/4 - @2376861
(I don't know exactly, I used the XML from Category 3, but my map morphs too)
Can I submit a one map to two categories? I'm confused which category this map belongs to.

Dude, just edit your first post -.-

Please consider reading my descriptions ^^ I put a lot of time and effort into my maps and also believe that my descriptions of the maps will help give you the full idea of how they're meant to be played, how they work, and how they're related to their respective themes. I would deeply appreciate it ^^

@2377058 - It's Complicated
a dit :
This is by far my most involved racing map to date. This map has undergone hours of pixel-precise placement, testing, adjustments, etc... This map is complicated. There are a total of 5 different paths you can take, and they all differ in difficulty and time relative to difficulty. 3 of the 5 paths involve the 2 shortcuts in the map, which are the more obvious tramp ground shortcut that requires very much coordination and the not-so-obvious under-chocolate shortcut that's impossible to do with cheese (that's why there are two cheese!). My best times with each path (practically perfect runs) are listed behind the difficulty.
Path 1. Easiest. 14s. You go over the top completely, get the cheese in the middle, then work your way through the two parallel chocolate bars and into the hole.
Path 2. Easy. 13s. You try to hit the angled ice under the second gap, avoid hitting the chocolate when flying across the middle iceway, get more velocity from the second, rounder ice curve and fly into the cheese in the middle of the map. Then work your way to the hole through the chocolate bars.
Path 3. Moderate. 11s. You go over the top path, but try to avoid getting the middle cheese AND try to avoid slowing down on the wood, then go under the 2nd chocolate bar and backwards walljump it to the 2nd cheese. It's harder this way and I personally would recommend path 4 to this one, lol.
Path 4. Moderate. 10s. Go through path 2, but avoid the middle cheese and go under and around the 2nd chocolate bar, then backwards walljump up to the tramp with the 2nd cheese. Best, fastest path.
Path 5. Hard. 11s. You guessed it: magically get yourself through the middle tramp funnel and into the middle cheese, shortcutting through half the map. Despite the huge shortcut, it's hard and not too much faster than other methods. Why is my time 11s? Well, I couldn't do it my first try ever. It took me 3 bounces to get my 11s time, which means getting it your first try should be the fastest time possible.

a dit :
This map was pretty fun to make. What I had in mind the whole time was a rainforest with a waterfall. Then, I even mixed in some nifty Z-indexing with two water grounds to create a slight 3D effect with the land between them. I also found LOTS of things wrong with the map editor's Z-indexing, particularly that water grounds do not follow the Z index of background objects, but will obey the Z index of other foreground objects. Really weird. Likewise, foreground "mice stuff" is displayed on top of everything in the map editor, but is behind foreground grounds when played. There's a lot wrong with the Z index of the map editor that I found out about through this map. Fortunately some workarounds helped a little bit, but I couldn't place some objects some places I really wanted to between grounds thanks to the necessary foreground placement of all grounds overlapping water. Oh, and I put a neat spin on gameplay, which is going up the waterfall. It's a little tricky but not too hard. Considering all of the angled grounds, it's even a good racing map! Simple, yet effective gameplay was definitely taken into consideration ;3

@2376918 - Freestyle
a dit :
The 35 height grounds kinda took me out of my comfort zone as a pixel-perfect geometric OCD person, so it ended up being more freestyle than usual for me. My inspiration for this map was the low friction of the snow ground--something I tried to incorporate into the racing aspect of the map. It is, as you may tell, a racing map. The snow ground in the middle is kinda like ice and the grass grounds are like chocolate, except in this map the difference is far harder to spot. Utilizing the low-friction snow ground in the middle will get you the best time in this map. It's a neat change for racers who are used to avoiding chocolate and going for ice--avoiding normal grass and going for snowy grass! The whole concept of this map was as freestyle as it gets and hopefully that'll help me in the judging :3

Category 4
Last minute change to @2482707, a more fitting map for the category using new methods I literally just learned July 4th which turns this map from a seemingly simple-as-hell run-right-run-left map into a completely different and unique map! I even took decorations into consideration as well as fitting in water ground into the transformation despite it not being a dynamic ground.

a dit :
I had a lot of ideas that I simply couldn't complete... I really had no idea how to change the map, nor how to make those switches people make in most mechanism maps. Since I'm not mechanically inclined, I decided to do something simple yet epic: wavy ground. Seemed epic in my mind, and I like the outcome as well. This is a very simple map, both to see and make, which just uses a bunch of 50px wide grounds strung together to make them form one big flexible ground. Then I put a big spinning circle under it and 3 circles of differing sizes on the sides of this big circle to make the land go up and down somewhat randomly. Because it was still just a simple left-right map, I added some flat grounds that would be hidden and shown under the moving waves to give the waves a purpose in gameplay. Also played with the Z index of these flat grounds to give the whole thing a little perspective. I'm very satisfied with the outcome and the thing about this map is that it's never the same! It's constantly different. Hoping the judges agree that while it doesn't change a ton, it's purely made of change ^^'

lol, nice maps...I wouldn't always write as much but...ok? number 1 needs some work, number 2 will win :), number 3 isn't soooo good, and I think you misunderstood "morph," with number 4, which looks great but doesn't really fit the catergory :) Good job!
