Mousechris a dit : cause there is probably no inherent need to optimize your game in the tribehouse hence no need for minamalist mode |

I hate to say this but I have never seen anyone complaining about 'unfair advantages' while jumping & getting a boost. Those small elements, even negatve, were already a part of the game but the admins just want to make it more linear |

Polypopu a dit : I have seen people complaining about it, but i always considered it as something everyone could do so ouo im rather confused tbh |

Polypopu a dit : I think what the admins really want is that you don't draw conclusions based on nothing. For all we know the changes might be permanent, but on the other hand they might also be bugs which tigrou is trying hard to fix. My point is, let's not jump to conclusions when you can't power your own statements. |

Baasbase a dit : Lets not *jump* to conclusions... omo but the thing they removed i've never ever seen anyone complain about it in the forums to be honest in rooms yes though @_@. |

I'm indifferent about the jumping-boosts removal. One side it sucks that it's gone because I used it for racing and to get ahead of mice, and the otherside I'm glad it's gone because it was luck based and sort of unfair in away even though everyone could do it. It does kind of make the game more fair in my opinion and more skill based, if you want to get ahead you have to do it the hard way rather then spamming W or your up arrow key. |

Shadowwinter a dit : The problem is that removing jumpp boost, it also removed long jump, wall push, midle air jump. Shadowwinter a dit : It wasnt lucky at all, when i used to practice it i barely failed any jump boost. People think its just lucky based because they dont even know how it works (you didnt do it by just spamming jump key, you had to know when to jump). Shadowwinter a dit : On maps without cj, its just a race to see who got the lowest ping. |

Noexcuses a dit : Just like the last time they removed any animations or anything along the lines of physics. Noexcuses a dit : Not too sure how it worked because I don't really care too much, but the only thing that I can get from it is that it was animation based. If you feel like explaining go right ahead, either way it's gone unless the admins change their mind. Noexcuses a dit : Not so true. There are ways you can get a faster corner-jump then others but to be honest, all racing is about is who has the best ping anyways. |

I honestly thought that was a skill Not a shaman skill but like a tactic |

Shadowwinter a dit : The animations during running worked in a cycle. You could say it was like counting 1 to 6 and then going back to 1. Certain frames had a faster speed, and jumping during a fast frame would lead to the "jump boost". The rest is easy to figure out from there. You learn the time it takes for the animation cycle to rotate fully and then you just start jumping on the same animation frame each time to get the better jumps out. Getting the first jump right was the hard part, but for that there was the nice thing that a properly set up spawnpoint (on the ground, not above it, not under) would always lead to the same starting animation in the cycle if you were holding forward on spawn, and like with ice/air/water running, you could "reset" the animation cycle by quickly letting go of your forward and tapping it again while running giving you a better sense of the timing. I won't miss the flat ground jump boosting simply because I don't play in regular rooms or racing anymore, it's just that removing the animations also removed dozens of mechanics from the game the players use (longjumping and wallpushing being the biggest ones) and it changes the way bootcamping works entirely. Or rather doesn't work anymore. A huge part of what we do especially when speedrunning bootcamps has everything to do with good animation controlling. Let me tell you a story: A monkey went into a music store with Steve Vai. Steve Vai took a guitar from a stand and played a highly technical solo with it. The monkey, amazed by Steve's skill, also picked up a guitar and started playing. Needless to say, the playing sounded HORRIBLE. Disheartened and utterly embarassed the monkey walked to the store owner, who also was a monkey, and complained that it is unfair that Steve Vai can play the guitar while monkeys cannot. The store owner, without knowing how to play the guitar himself, agreed, and removed two strings from each of his guitars that day. And from that day onward no one would ever play a 6-stringed guitar anymore. The land was full of bassist monkeys and everyone lived happily ever after. Except for the guitarists. |

Well thanks for explaining, and to clarify I am upset that the mechanics are missing once again but I'm just indifferent about this one because I never really used it nor care too much right now because I barely play the game myself. Once again, hopefully they revert the change and everything goes back to normal. |

Gj But you should've added not to steal other peoples script |

It's not like you can "own" a script, the most I would have to imagine is if you are on the Lua team and have an official module. But it really shouldn't matter because users can only use scripts in their tribe house, so it's harmless if someone uses a script someone else made. |

We're actually in the process of adding such a rule. Lagiacruss a dit : It's more for posting the script and then acting as if its your own. |

Oh I see, I thought they were upset that people can use ('steal') people's scripts and use them, didn't think about them claiming as their own. My apologies. |

May I also suggest a rule to stop people from spamming "this room doesn't work :(((", maybe pointing to the Module API FAQ's explanation of approved/unapproved modules. Additionally, adding an [Official] tag to the title of all official modules. |

Shamousey a dit : And of course add [Unofficial] tags to the unofficial modules. |
