It's better than Tig's map editor, to be honest. It has a lot of extra functionality which Tig's doesnt have. However, you can't test your map in it, and you can't use it to export your map. Anyways, testing it inside the game is probably better anyways. This map editor also lets you see the XML code which is useful to some map makers.

Anyways, after reading this thread more, this is what I have to say:

You morons, read the OP carefully.

Is this what you want? Because what you've basically described is MapPad.
MapPad you can copy the map's XML code back to TFM's map editor for testing + export.
It also does work without internet, you can make maps and even save them! What more do you want?
I don't understand what you're saying. Of course you can make a map in MapPad, are you dumb?

Seriously guys forget this idea, your suggestion was already solved ages ago just that thanks to bad communication not everyone knows about MapPad. Please use this program and discontinue this discussion.

In map pad if you want to create something, you need to go to Create>Ground\object.. You can't just click on the ground and spawn it like in map editor

Okay yeah I understand MapPad can't do that. That's why you make your map in MapPad, then load the XML back in TFM and quickly test your map, since your main concern is that your internet sucks and you disconnect easily.
