That does look pretty nice, but with the horrid freeze-up just before playing it I can see why.

What exactly are the rules on joint lag, anyhow?

Well, if the huge lag lasts up to or longer than the 2-3 seconds at the beginning of the map its generally "autodenied" even if someone accidentally puts it up for discussion because they didnt experience it themselves.

Aside from that its generally from voters experiences and we try to test in room if people like it or not and comments on lag. If people are merely wowed by the art/mech/both in the tests done we generally try to remove it after a month or so.

If you feel a map is too laggy and really needs to go you can report it in the P3+ Report Thread.

Likewise, I much prefer the old straightforward(er) color grounds with joints used just for little details and decorative purposes.
