The New Referral System

I've tested it with an alt I made, Midniteskies, I made it today, so..
Snoweybuddy told me about this, and I decided to test it out.
I logged into both my main and my alt, my main was in the tribe house, while I played with my alt.
Turns out when the reffered gets 10 cheese, you get 1 cheese.
It kinda breaks the 'no free cheese' rule, but okay.

Are you kidding?
This actually worked?
I'm so done.

I dunno why there's such a fuss about it; it's not as much a "free cheese" addition in the sense that if people decide to try and "abuse" it, they're still out there getting cheese on an alt while a main just gets a small amount, not really worth it to abuse.

And the "no free cheese" rule of the suggestion subforum is for suggestions that are like "we should get x cheese for y" and this is just a referral system, which is a waste of time to try and abuse.

Exactly. Creating an alt to get 1 free cheese is just ridiculous. It's much better for you to collect 10 cheese directly with your main account instead of creating an alt to gain only one.

The referral system is a way for us to reward dedicated players who help us to spread the game.

Is it possible to abuse the system with a bot that automatically registers accounts, etc or do you need a new ip for every new alt acc?

My brother had promised me he'd make a new account with my referral link, so that's dissapointing that it works by IP. Oh well; there's more pros than cons with this update.

My only issue with any referral system is the fact it rewards anyone who got someone else to play, no matter how they got it done. It's a good thing the rewards here aren't too huge, but still, some people's ideas on advertising a game do more harm than good.

I do expect this to be somewhat effective though.

I dont get why so many bad comments on this update... Seriously...it's just a cheese not 100 per referee (hope I wrote that correctly)
